Hampton Inn Athens

Elevator is slow and only one working. Otherwise good for just to stay

Everything about this place is better than a typical select-service hotel. The rooms were clean and well maintained, with solid surface floors, comfortable beds (except for the pillows), and reliable connectivity. The common areas were also clean and well maintained, and the fitness center was surprisingly well outfitted for a Hampton Inn (it even had a Peloton). Breakfast included most of the typical Hampton offerings, but the hot foods seemed better prepared, and they certainly tasted better. Fresh water (infused with citrus) in the lobby was a nice touch; even the coffee was good. Parking lot was well lit and felt safe, and the location was convenient, with restaurants, groceries, and lots of other stuff within walking distance. And the staff....every person we interacted with was professional, friendly, and helpful. This is the third hotel we've tried in Athens, and it was by far the best experience we've had. Will definitely stay here again.

Stayed here during recent college visit and was more than satisfied. Solid Hampton property - clean, affordable with friendly staff! Highly recommend!

Easy to find

Room was small and loud from road noise. Sounded like we were sitting in the parking lot. Dog are in horrible place by busy street.

Clean

Accessibility. Parking lot was not easy to get in and out of. Staff, specifically the manager was not very friendly. Room’s temperature was 80° when I arrived. Thermostat was set to 70° and upon returning the room’s temperature was again 80°. Room was very loud and I could hear EVERYTHING from the room adjacent.

The hotel is very centrally located, many restaurants in the area. The hotel wasn't the most cleaned Hampton Inn we visited. I think the hotel needs a little tlc.
