Hampton Inn Athens

We stay here on the way to our 4th of July family gathering. We booked a queen suite and it was one of the nicest and definitely the biggest room I've ever stayed in. The price was great! We had a kitchenette which we didn't use because we were just there overnight. A sofa sleeper on one side of room and two queen beds on the other side with a large desk and TV in between. So much room. The tub and toilet were separate from the vanity and were also large enough for all the girls getting ready together. The room had a large mirror in addition to the vanity mirror which is always a plus. The only thing I didn't like (but wouldn't cause me not to stay there again) is the light switch is on the outside wall of the bathroom. If you have to go in the night you have to turn on the light from the outside and it is disturbing to those sleeping. Breakfast was included and was very good- waffles, oatmeal, eggs, sausage, potatoes, bagels, pastries, and juices. Will definitely stay here again when traveling through.

For a pet friendly hotel they were quite quick to snap at pets.

Staff was nice

There was a very strong sour smell in the room. We couldn’t change rooms as there were no more available. The pull out couch was terrible. Plastic wrap over mattress and wouldn’t lie flat down. No shower gel after already got in shower

It was great as always

Very disappointing. Unattended dog barking for over two hours. The front desk clerk was kind but unable to do anything. Dog’s owners returned and that was it. I have not been able to get assistance from Hilton’s chat bit or customer service phone number.

We stayed for a weekend. The room was clean I just wish we would have gotten room service and fresh towels but we did not. I don’t like having to request it because I forget! I have a million things to do since we had our kids with us. It was a nice stay, I think just that killed it for me.
