We stayed for a week in May 2026 for our honeymoon and we are filled with regret. This may be classed as a 5 star in Tunisia but it was absolutely nothing like any of the other 5 star hotels we have stayed at elsewhere. I have stayed in much nicer 4 star places and never had so many unpleasant interactions. I have never left a poor review in my life, but I couldn’t wait to get away from this place by the end of it so felt compelled to review. The hotel itself is okay. The skirting was missing in our room, the phone was broken and we complained about 10 times and it was never fixed. One woman on reception was very helpful and called a doctor to our room for my husband who slipped a disc and could barely move one of the days. I think her name was rifika, she was most helpful. There was a lovely waitress who waited for us each morning and would have fruit juice and fruit waiting for us at a table and remembered our coffee order and as soon as she saw us she made it. She was amazing and impressed us. Thank you Faten. The pools were nice enough, though only one pool bar so sometimes you were waiting quite a while to be served. The ‘fun police’ also ruined it a lot of the time. My husband got told off for going down the slide ‘wrong’ which was on his side. We saw some kids having fun and jumping in and they were told to stop, they weren’t splashing anyone. And we also saw some teenagers playing happily with a ball who were also told to stop. They again weren’t bothering anyone. So don’t go to this hotel if you want to have any sort of fun. I was hassled by a member of the entertainment team at one point. I know they’re just trying to do their jobs and interact with guests but it made me feel very uncomfortable as he wouldn’t leave me alone and I was on the verge of tears. One evening a guest was very drunk during the evening entertainment. She was shouting and screeching and was upsetting a lot of guests. Many guests even eventually shouted at her to shut up at which point she started swearing. Nobody at the hotel did anything about this and my husband and I ended up leaving to go to bed as we had had enough. The entertainment is very very poor. The team are great and it isn’t their fault. But the hotel clearly doesn’t want to pay for any decent entertainment, and instead think getting the guests to do karaoke, ‘miss hotel’ and bingo is good enough for 5 star. I have been to 4 star places that have bands, magicians, fire shows etc so was very disappointed. ‘Miss hotel’ is extremely sexist and demeaning to women. These women were told they would be ‘playing games and doing challenges’. The reality is that they were asked to do sexy poses and sexy walks so the crowd could decide who looked most sexy. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable watching and it was entirely degrading to the women taking part who felt like they couldn’t say no as everyone was watching by the time they found out the tasks. I spoke to one of the women afterwards so can confirm she said she hated it and felt like she couldn’t walk away.

Excellent service, this is my third time in this hotel all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room service is brilliant specially Ahlem always made my room in perfect condition. Highly recommended.

I’ve stayed in many great hotels worldwide, but I must say, Jaz Tour Khalef is truly the best. They offer exceptional service, are incredibly clean, have a fantastic atmosphere, and the staff is incredibly cool. I’d definitely choose them again!

However, I must unequivocally state that Jaz Tour Lhalef stands out as the epitome of excellence. Their unparalleled service, immaculate cleanliness, captivating ambiance, and exceptionally amiable staff make them a truly remarkable establishment. I would undoubtedly choose them for future accommodations.

The holiday could not have gone better accomodation food and entertainment were of a high standard. All staff were friendly and very attentive but Nadia and Noura our room attendants in C501 deserves particular praise they are excellent and outstanding at their job. Fams and Jacqui
