Nice and clean hotel right on the beach access staff were friendly and helpful right near good bars and food easy walking to everything

Lamai Wanta is a great hotel right on the beach, has an awesome pool as well that looks out over the beach. Only thing was that the wifi isn't always the best, otherwise it was a great hotel.

Had a lovely stay, room was super comfortable, big balcony. The power stayed on when you left so you could charge things while you were out. Lamai is a nice spot, water is good and lamai beach rd was close, lots of food options. There is a reason chaweng is the tourist centre though, the water there was amazing! The only annoying thing about the hotel was their bar closed at 5. The restaurant there was really good though!

Great place to stay. Staff excellent. Beds comfortable. Pool right on beach. Excellent WIFI. Can rent motorbikes from resort. Walking distance to all the nightlife. I've stayed many times and will again.

lamai wanta is set amongst tranquil manicured gardens, stayed in an upstairs deluxe room which had a patio amongst the young coconut trees ,, at night little grey thai squirrels can be seem hopping about ,eating the fruit ,the rooms are as pictured good beds and aircon .works well , although the rooms dont heat up much as rhe garden has a cooling effect , restaurant overlooks the beach and pool area ,, loads of breakfast choices , omelettes made to order while you cook your toast ,,, but its the location of the resort that makes it what it is , every thing a sones throw away , am a traveller that pays atention to detail , the restaurant tables , like a galaxy of opals , ?,, seasoned aussie traveller ,, , upon arrival , exhausted .. i picked up and went to smell what appeared to be a scented candle ,,,, ? it was a glass of orange juice !!! ting tong , , we could all take a leaf out of the thai i book of manners,,,, ,,at night , theres a security guard ,, he couldnt have a beer with me , so i put a few beers in his pocket , all night amongst the odd mozzie to ensure a safe stay , the sane level of dedication displayed by the room staff and gardeners should humble us all a little , , as for the orange stained white shirt , local laundry next day pickup , ? a stones throw away ,,, and it smelt like a scented candle , ,

Nice setting, close to beach, but the room was very basic, uncomfortable bed.

Stayed for 3 nights, very nice bungalows the food was good and a very quiet atmosphere. Beach area isn't the best but everything was nice. Clean area.

We loved our stay at Lamai Wanda. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable with a great bed and a nice balcony to enjoy the evening. The area was quiet with easy, quick access to the Lamai strip for eating and shopping. The pool area, lounge chairs and beach access was excellent. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and tasty. It was enjoyable to eat in the open air restaurant. We were disappointed to leave and certainly would return if the opportunity presented itself.

The wifi is inexistente and the conditions of the hotel are not nice

We really enjoyed our stay at Lamai Wanta, it's location is probably the best on Lamai beach, it has a wide beach frontage, plenty of sun beds, the rooms are basic and that's the only reason I can think of why this gem of a hotel doesn't have a much higher rating. The rooms are basic but the bed was firm and very comfortable, had a fridge, air con, the balcony was private, and the setting of the rooms is nice and amongst trees, the best part of this hotel though is the pool area. It's the best of both worlds, directly on the sea, you can choose to swim in the sea or the pool, there are plenty of sun beds and as it's a private area so you don't get harassed by the hawkers walking on the beach, and best of all the staff are so very genuinely friendly and are happy to take your order and deliver you cold drinks, beer and delicious food directly to your sun bed at very reasonable prices. In general all else all the staff are so very kind and friendly. We will definitely be back!
