The Hive Hotel Samui

Great location for beach and town. Breakfast good with asian and European choice. Basic rooms but comfortable.

Wanta is the first hotel in Thailand where I haven't checked out after a couple of days and gone elsewhere. Apart from having softer hotel room mattresses and updated sunbeds this place is hard to fault. Nice staff and a location that more expensive hotels on Lamai Beach don't have. The interweb was pukka - probably faster than my home supplier lol. ( - ) We stayed at the rear of the hotel 406/407 which suffered with a bit of distant drum 'n' bass from the bars, but it was nothing too severe. ( + ) No Jellyfish during our stay.

Stayed in a deluxe double room which was very clean and comfortable. Lamai Wanta Resort is in a great location for the beach, local shops, bars and restaurants. Lots to see and do. We watched a fantastic fire show 5 minutes walk from the hotel along the beach. Positives - location, cleanliness, helpful staff, well maintained grounds. As two female travellers having night security on site was a bonus. Negatives - The wifi could be a bit patchy. The on site restaurant closed at 6:30-7:00 pm. Whilst there are lots of restaurants and bars within a 2 minute walking distance, which we used every night, having the restaurant on site open in the evening would be great for families and those who do not want to venture out. I would recommend this Resort to family and friends.

Perfect location right on the beach and close to all shops and restaurants. There are a few bad restaurants for example the curry pot which is awful. The hotel serves up a beautiful breakfast with lots of choicevto suit everybody. We would definitely come again

The room was on the ground floor and you can hear all the noises from the rooms above and sides. There are no phones in the rooms to call the front desk and complain, I had to get out of bed and get dressed to walk to the from desk. The room was awful, you have to exit and enter via the patio doors which was hard to lock and unlock and also allow the room fill with mosquitoes ever time you went in or out in the evenings. There are many other much nicer and cheaper hotels on lamai beach. I would not stay here again. The pool water was filthy.

3rd time staying here, good size rooms, quiet, pool overlooking beach, great location

Upgraded to nice big villa room. Very clean, hot shower. Excellent position near beach and market. Grounds and pool nicely kept. Reasonable price. Love this place, have stayed before, will stay again.

Goood location. Lovely pool and nice beach about 10m away. Staff were very helpful. A little bit expensive compared to some places and could of got cheaper by walking off the street. Generally a great place to stay with a couple of cheap restaurants along the beach great food and cheap
