Clifton Sands Holiday Apartments

The unit has everything you need to relax in comfort while you visit the region. Linda is the perfect host. she makes sure that your stay is hassle free and went out of her way to change our room when my wife had problems climbing the stairs to the original room. Linda has fantastic knowledge of the area and can give great advice as where to go and what to see, and will even book it for you. It is only a short 100m walk to the beach and to the walking/bike path that takes you to Palm Cove or all the way to Cairns. We will stay there again next time we visit the area.

Great value for the money. While the kitchen and bathroom may be a bit dated the rooms, furniture and all linens were spotless, hot water was hot, bed comfortable, updated appliances, good pool and well kept surrounds. One minute to the beach and a top restuarant "Coco Mojo" is across the street. What else do you need on a holiday.

Excellent location; very friendly staff!

We were very happy in our Apartment it was very spacious and homely with a separate bedroom and living quarters! The bed was very comfy with beautiful white cotton sheets and white towels. Linda was very pleasant and friendly and even helped with booking our trip to Michaelmas Cay.

We stayed here for a week. Very well appointed apartment with good kitchen facilities, a comfy bed, washing machine and dryer and nice balcony. Beach is just a two minute walk away and you can walk up he beach to Palm Cove. Also on the local bus route between Palm Cove and Cairns. Very good restaurant just over the road and the supermarket and other restaurants are a 15-20 minute walk. Good pool and a good supply of DVDs and books to borrow.

We loved our stay at Clifton Sands. The apartment was comfortable and quiet. We had a top floor room and the balcony was a great place to sit at the end of the day. Everything was exceptionally clean. Recommended .

The best thing about the area of Clifton Beach? It was incredibly peaceful and almost deserted, especially compared to next-door Palm Cove. If you want the Palm Cove beach without the crowds, come to Clifton. The hotel itself was perfectly located one block from the beach and was a great spot to access Cairns, Port Douglas & Daintree. The room was well equipped and comfortable, our late night arrival was no issue, and having a full kitchen to use was the main reason we chose the place. Our holiday was made better by having such a good place to retreat to each day.

This is a very pleasant block of flats located just across the road from the beach, it's such a shame that we can not really use the beach for swimming because there are crocs... Staff were excellent and very friendly, the flat had everything we needed but to our surprise, the toilet roll was at extra charge as well as servicing/ change of towels and the pool was often closed. The only bad thing here is there's no WI-FI, the only place you can get it (and weak) is if you sit on the floor outside the reception door which isn't very nice! Everywhere else is absolutely impossible to get signal, which caused us stress everytime we had to make reservations and get transport! Clifton Beach has only one restaurant, very nice but expensive, which is conveniently located just across the road, besides of that there's really nothing else to do in the area.

It is a good stay, affordable and close to beach.

We enjoyed our stay here and left feeling envious of those lucky individuals who live here permanently. Though of an older vintage we found the unit comfortable with everything you need for a refreshing break. Clifton Beach is lovely!
