Clifton Sands Holiday Apartments

Rooms were neat and comfortable an abundant amount of utensils to cover all needs, we enjoyed our stay, staff pleasant and welcoming.

This was a great property away from the noise of Cairns, only 20 minutes into Cairns and 10 minutes away from shops and the Kuranda rail/sky way. The room was large and very clean, with a well equipped kitchen. The pool was nice and warm and you could be at tge beach within a 5 minute walk-awesome. Great lounging areas and bbqs easily accessible.

Walking distance to beach. On the bus line to town (about $8 each way for adult) apartment was lovely - very clean and super functional. Linda very friendly and willing to help with anything you might need. Coles is about a 1.5klm walk. Only one cafe is in the immediate vicinity. Hiring a car for at least part of holiday is well worth it. Highly recommend.

Overpriced for condition. Owners need to attend to maintenance issues. Laminex peeling off tops of kitchen cupboards,fridge seals dirty and shelves cracked, blind dirty,shower curtain grotty,no drink coasters, only 2 placemats,a clock would be nice,frontdoor screen has rip,bedroom window dirty. No carport, no lift in complex. Unit on 3rd floor,pool is plunge pool. Curlew birds very scarey noise and noisy. Nice breezy area.

This unit was fairly spacious and quite comfortable. There are great views of the ocean from the balcony, and it is well located to paved walking trails to the swimming beach and to Palm Cove (a 3.5km walk). There is a first rate restaurant (Coco Mojo) directly across the road, and the supermarket and small shopping centre is a short 3 minute drive away.

Enjoyed my stay. Comfortable apartment. Kind, helpful, and generous manager. Great location.

We had a nice time. These units are good for short or long holidays.

We had a 9 stay recently which was quite pleasant. The apartment was nice and clean everything one would need for self catering is provided. Only a short 20 min walk to the local shopping centre Coles, Post Office, Bakery, Target, Fruit Shop. Beach is only across the street. The location of the apartments is just central to Cairns city.... Palm Cove and Port Douglas...A bus runs every half hour just out front of the apartments to Cairns. Linda the Owner manager is always on hand for local information and help with car hire and trips around the place. We enjoyed our short break at the apartment so peaceful and restful.

While this was a non refundable booking, I was very disappointed to discover that the only views of the beach available from the ground floor room we were allocated were glimpses of light reflecting through tall overgrown grass in an allotment on the other side of the street. The images and information on the website suggested that this was a beach side facility that provided views of the ocean which is why we felt it was well priced for the rating and location. Unfortunately, as soon as I stepped through the sliding door from the lounge area (and the sliding door fell off rather than slid open and needed repair) I could see a hedge, a street behind that, another apartment block and then the spare plot of land that was overgrown. Add to that, the door handle from the kitchen to the bathroom that repeatedly fell out and needed repair, the blown light globe in the bedroom side lamp, the toilet with a cistern that kept running on and off and dust on the air conditioning vent in the bedroom and...well it was quite a disappointment indeed.
