"Never Disappoints "

This was our 5th visit to this wonderful hotel which is positioned close to the sea on the island of Ortigia. The rooms are large, the beds comfortable and the bathrooms well appointed. Our favourite room 9s 303 as it has a small balcony running down one side giving a nice view of the sea. Unusually for Ortigia, parking is available and the wonderful Paolo is always there to carry your bags and make sure your car is safely parked.

Breakfast was really bad - coffee was terrible. Overall cleanliness of the property very poor. Restaurant was not open neither was the spa. We booked the junior suite as a treat and were so disappointed we could hardly see out because the windows were so dirty! Will not be returning.

We were put into a room for handicapped guests with no view and dank furnishings. The security box was broken and not repaired despite apologies. Not a good experience.

Second visit to this hotel. Beautiful location. Friendly helpful staff. Syracusa is a lovely city. The spa and jacuzzi in the basement of the hotel are an added bonus.

Very helpful and pleasant staff. We drove to the hotel to unload our luggage, at which point they parked the car nearby. The hotel has a lovey roof deck.

Great location for touring the old part of the city Easy walking distance to major sites. Helpful reception and parking staff. Nice room with Jacuzzi shower. Spa was also a big plus. The area that needs improvement is the breakfast. Many of the pastries were stale and the food presented was not very good. We always look forward to Italian coffee and they coffee here was served in huge metal dispensers and it wasn't very warm and was very weak. We asked for cappuccinos to be made and they were much better.
