"Beautiful & Clean - a nice place with nice hosts"

8.0

The hotel is very nice and extremely clean. Allen and his wife (don't know her name since we dealt with him mostly) are extremely hospitable and offered lots of information about the area and the history of the hotel. Breakfast was delicious and there was a good variety of beer, etc. for the adults. You should definitely know that this is truly an historic location and that the rooms are very small. We booked "quadruple" rooms for our family and our friends, both with 2 children. They were tight to say the least, but the beds were comfortable and as I said, the cleanliness was beyond compare. Would definitely recommend this hotel with the only caveat being that you should be prepared for tight quarters and perhaps a bathroom that is outside of the room.

"Old Cable House."

10.0

Unique hotel in restored trans-Atlantic Cable House. Great breakfast. Very friendly and helpful owners. They gave us hints on shopping and site-seeing. Even cooked a special fish dinner for just the 2 of us! Wonderful place. I'd stay there again.

"Not up to a standard expected"

6.0

Unfortunately, a very noisy group arrived about 10p.m., with children, who were running around, shouting and slamming doors until midnight. I feel that this should have been politely stopped by the manageress. Also the on-suite was extremely small with no shower-gel provided. The T.V. had no remote control and there weren't any fire instructions in the room. The pillows were not comfortable at all.

"Worst Hotel of Our Six Week Trip"

2.0

We did not stay at the hotel. The rooms offered and the common areas were a disaster. The owner was "highly insulted" that we thought his " handy work" was unacceptable. No shower curtain or enclosure in the shower, concrete floors unfinished and not level. The place was dirty. He told us he was "insulted and we must Leave.'' We found the Butler Arms Hotel near by and were relieved. I guess we should thank him.

"All the charm of a B&B with hotel level comfort"

10.0

We loved our stay at this Bed and Breakfast in Kerry, Ireland. The hosts were personable, kind and attentive. They helped with recommendations and gave us history when we asked, but were otherwise not intrusive. B&Bs can sometimes feel a little too personal when you are trying to have a holiday on your own but this one felt welcoming and homey while still allowing us to have our independence. The rooms were very nice, spacious and clean. Breakfast was so filling that we didn't get hungry for lunch till very late in the day and usually just held out for dinner. It was overall an amazing value for the money. I would absolutely stay here again and hope I get the chance.
