Loved the snorkelling off the pier out the front of the resort -The best we did in Vanuatu (very healthy corals and loads of fish). The villas are lovely, comfortable beds, and the staff helpful. Very peaceful setting. Would come again.

A bit expensive for the room quality

The location is absolutely stunning — beautiful sunsets, peaceful ocean views, and a quiet atmosphere. Our room was comfortable and the food consistently excellent, with fresh local ingredients and generous portions. We also loved being able to walk to snorkeling spots and the chance to bike or kayak added a sense of adventure.

Customer service was extremely inconsistent — staff were often unhelpful or indifferent, and there was a real lack of clear communication about tours, tides, snorkeling options, and local customs or resort activities. We felt misled by some of the tour pricing and disappointed by the overall lack of local insight or guidance. White Grass positions itself as a high-end resort, but the service experience didn’t reflect that.

Beautiful location with very easy access to lots of fantastic snorkeling. The room was comfortable and a good size. Bathroom could use some tlc but was clean and well stocked. The staff were so wonderful, breakfast was fantastic and I enjoyed the Tanna coffee very much. Would love to come back for another visit.

It's hard to critique this venue knowing how hard the last few years have been for all venues in Vanuatu. Covid and then cyclones mean that businesses are still working to recover. The small issues here and there were easy to look past considering how beautiful my overall stay was.

When we checked into the bungalow, the shower was dirty, all the plumbing was stained from previous tourists ((and there were no eggs for breakfast during our 3 days of stay

Diving with Volcano Island Divers. Staff made me feel at home. Tours of the volcano and village were outstanding. And of course, going to the Kava bars with friends.

Prices of the meals.

Friendly and helpful staff whom helped to arrange our tours, and throughout the experience. When our flight to Tanna was changed by the airline, the resort was superbly flexible to the changes and helped us to suggest and re-plan our remaining time in Tanna. This really helped to relief our stress. Meals were good in the resort. The resort is very pretty overall and has a good view of the ocean.

Some mosquitos and no AC, but we understand it is the same situation regardless which resort in Tanna, and came prepared with insect repellent.

Beautiful location. Very welcoming, friendly, helpful staff. Resort is simple but beautifully laid out and landscaped. VERY clean and tidy. The ability to explore the tidal areas and jump off the jetty and go snorkelling is unreal. We went on three tours - the Volcano (HIGHLY recommended) the Blue Cave (HIGHLY recommended) and the snorkelling tour (was good not amazing because was overcast day and visibility not so good). My husband spoke to Chuck in the village north and organised to go line fishing for the day - was a great experience and he caught fish :) The chef cooked this up for us to order for lunch and dinner that day Breakfasts were simple but yummy. There was a simple menu for lunch and dinner that changed daily - was very happy with every meal :)

Brown outs - not a problem really just thought would mention. Apart from having no lights for brief periods there was no disruption to meals etc. Getting a flight to Tanna was tricky but Marsha was amazing and went to the airline company a number of times to help us organise bookings. THANKYOU!
