Old Ferry Boat by Greene King Inns

A charming place to stay. Quaint, classic, old English hotel, loved it. Great breakfast and staff.

Being a very old building, you have to expect that that things aren't going to be ultra modern, this is what makes it so special. It gives it character.

Location, food and staff excellent. Impressive old building

Accomodation. We were in room 5, which was a twin room. It was actually a single which had had another bed put in it. One of the beds had been put tight against the radiator and the television could only be seen from one of the beds.The en-suite was so small I have a cupboard bigger than it at home. This is the smallest room that we have ever stayed in.

Perfect quiet location next to the river. Great atmosphere, staff were very friendly, abd the food was good.

Room was right above the kitchen fan, so room had smell of grease. Fan was very noisy, but did get turned off after food service. Room could have been cleaner. Spiders in bathroom, been there a long while by the looks of things.

Excellent location by the river Ouse & outside of building is really charming. Restaurant, food & staff were all good although we did have to wait almost an hour for our mains.

The room (no.4) was disgraceful. Paintwork & wall finishes looked about 20 years old. Floor squeaked in all directions. Standard double divan bed with broken drawers, although mattress was comfortable. Disgusting wooden blinds disguising dirty window frames & cobwebs. No mirror in bedroom. Bathroom blinds & windows in same dreadful condition. Dirty toilet pan & toilet seat had two supports missing as well as urine stains. The only redeeming features were a powerful shower & plenty of hot water.

The staff were great, room was comfortable. Food was lovely and presented wel.

The fact that booking a room for 2 people with breakfast then finding out that only one breakfast was on the order was more than disappointing. I rechecked booking.com and found the website more complicated than it needs to be. After chatting to staff I have been advised a way of booking rooms by passing a 3rd party.
