The food was good and the staff were exceptional.

Rooms a little dated, very 80s vibe, but clean and comfortable enough.

The location is a beautiful part of the country. The shower pressure was excellent. There was plenty of parking. The bar was nice.

The room and public areas beyond the reception area, bar and restaurant are rather worn and in need of redecoration or renovation. My room was clean and nothing was broken, but the carpet and bathroom seemed old and well-used, and the bath drained very slowly. There was only a fixed showerhead, and not one on a hose, and for the size of the vanity unit, relatively little space to put toiletries. No aircon at this hotel, and I visited during a heatwave.

Die Lage des Hotels war für unsere Bedürfnisse prima. Parkplätze kostenlos und ausreichend vorhanden. Das Personal war freundlich. Unser Zimmer war weit abgelegen, mit schwerem Gepäck daher etwas mühselig. Die Betten waren nicht sehr bequem, man hat jede Bettfeder gespürt. Das Essen war abends ok, das Frühstück war mäßig. Gegen Aufpreis kann man dann noch warmes Frühstück ordern, was wir aber nicht ausprobiert haben. In Summe für 1 Nacht zur Durchreise ok, für länger wäre dies keine Unterkunft für mich.

Bequemere Matratzen. Kein Duschvorhang und kein Klettern in eine Badewanne. Eine ebenerdige Dusche wäre schon schön. Das Hotel ist eher etwas "in die Jahre" gekommen.

It's a 17th Inn, you would expect a little deterioration to the fabric and there was and I accept the general condition, it suited our budget. However I think the general internal decoration left a little to be desired in the corridors and bedrooms. Certainly the carpeting was long past its serviceability and could be deemed dangerious where it was 'rucking up' in the corridor's and our bedroom (308) Also worth a mention was the dubious stain on the carpet near the bed which I'm sure a little spot cleaner would sort out until new carpets are fitted.
