The dinner and breakfast were good. The breakfast lady was friendly.

The bathroom was dirty. The room smelled moldy. Afternoon staff were scarce and not friendly.

Friendly staff, well equipped and comfy room. Good breakfast. Plenty of free parking.

Nice pub with accommodation. Good fish and chips.

Room and bathroom are very small.

Excellent as we were going to badminton horse trials

We had a disabled room as was the only one available at the time which is no reflection as it’s a very busy week

We visit the Cross Hands every year while working at Badminton Horse Trials, and it never disappoints. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, cosy, and really inviting, with comfy seating and lovely lighting that makes it the perfect place to relax after a long day. The whole team are always incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. This year, we contacted them in advance to arrange breakfasts and packed lunches for our on-site team, which we were able to order and collect daily throughout the event. Everything was organised brilliantly and the food was always fresh, generous, and to a really high standard. In the evenings, we booked a table every night and were looked after so well. The food and drinks were consistently excellent, and the Sunday dinners were absolutely huge, really filling and honestly some of the best we’ve had! The team even kindly kept the kitchen open later for us on some evenings, which was hugely appreciated after long days at the event. You can really see how hard everyone works to make sure guests have a great experience, and nothing ever feels like too much trouble. A huge thank you to Mia, Kristen, John, and all the team for always making us feel so welcome. We would 100% recommend the Cross Hands to anyone visiting the area and we’ll definitely be returning again next year, and any other time we’re nearby! Nothing. As soon as we walked in there was a smell of stale beer, which as an ex pub owner I know all too well that keeping things clean is not a priority.

The ‘hotel’ entrance is scruffy, you have to ring the bell for assistance. Once you have your keys, you walk through the pub and up stairs, which again are scruffy. We didn’t get the bedroom we booked and paid for. The one we were shown to was dingy, so much so that we spoke to the person in charge and asked for a refund, which we got.

The hotel was cozy and cute from the outside although it is located on a major road. The room was OK. Needed updating. The bathroom was nice.

Comparing Cross Hands to other places we stayed, the rooms were a bit worn and dated. Service in the pub was a bit chaotic. The special was buy one burger, get one free, but they ran out of burgers.
