The staff were very nice but the building is very tired and needs a lot of money spent on it. Appeared to be an ideal stop over for white van man. The breakfasts are poor.

We were a large family group, and booked 8 rooms. It was a great place to meet the night before the wedding as there was a restaurant and a bar! The rooms were large, comfy and clean, with lovely modern bathrooms. Rural location, ideal as just off the M4. Great breakfast, with lots of choice. Good communication ahead of our stay, and Sandy was very helpful in allowing us to have a later check-out. But we arrived after 6pm due to traffic, and unfortunately the guy that checked us in didn't seem to have a clue about our late checkout and other info that had been discussed with Sandy.

Check in was very slow for those of us arriving after 6pm as there was one member of staff working a busy bar and checking guests in. So those arriving later had a long wait to check in if there was a queue for drinks at the bar.

This hotel benefits from a convenient location but that’s about it. It’s well overdue a refurb. Everything is worn out decor fixtures and fittings. My room was not clean, no one has checked behind doors or under furniture. The decoration fixtures and fittings, and flooring is tired and grubby. Stained shower tray complimented the shower itself that could not deliver anything other than tepid water. There was a background noise, like an electrical hum in the room which seemed to be coming from behind the wall. I wanted a meal in the evening, no one was serving at the bar and missing for nearly 15 mins, the meal once ordered seemed to take far too long to be delivered and was poor. Breakfast was served from 7am but despite ordering at 7 did not appear until 7.25 not great when you need to get on. To be fair the breakfast was good and by far the redeeming factor of the stay., nonetheless I won’t be returning as overall poor value for money. I would say the place survives on workers being put up by their employers

Good location and close to the M4. Powerful shower. Bathroom clean.

Tired decor with peeling paint work in the room from damp. One spare pillow was mouldy on the pillowcase. The TV was tiny. Twin room single beds were small.

Rooms were clean, bed was comfy and staff very friendly.

My son was woken up at 8am ish by building work in the room next door, banging loudly and drilling. Maybe they could have started a bit later or made him aware there was going to works going on. Seeing as 11am checkout time he would like to have had a lay in. Rooms were in need of a freshen up and the room I was in, the bathroom door bracket was loose at the top so made the door drop and hard to shut.
