Great location, wonderful venue, comfortable bed

Due to the very high temperature room was hot and no air con only a fan so sleeping was difficult. No plugs at the bedside

"Rothley is a hidden gem, worth visiting!"

Guests can feel the 800 years of history. Nice atmosphere and great staff.

Rooms need some improvement, fridge, air conditioning, bigger TV. etc.

"Mouldy bathroom l"

Location, bar and outside area, breakfast. Comfortable bed and clean linen.

Lots of black mould and no ventilation in bathroom. Window locked and no extractor fan in bathroom. Shower dirty, unable to use but also no hot water through the shower. Room 27, poorly lit with limited ventilation.

"Relaxed and friendly but a bit run down"

Staff were very friendly. Bar was very good and it opened onto a nice terrace. Superior room in main building was quiet and fairly cool

The whole place felt a bit tired especially the carpets and it would need a big cash injection to realise its full potential. Bar food and beer selection was quite good but breakfast was a bit bland especially the sausages
