Hotel Samanapaq

The location, the staff's accessibility before/during/after our stay was remarkeable. Paola helped arrange a taxi from Cusco's airport to the hotel. We had a private driver that also served as a tour guide for the two hour ride to Olla. Our room was clean/newer and very comfortable. I felt the accomodations were great for the price and what you are given. The staff is very attentive throughout your stay and assure that your daily adventure trips to Machu Picchu or other local ruins are enjoyed without setbacks. Be sure to no be shy about asking questions as to places to visit, places to eat and how to assure you get good desls when dealing with taxis or buying local artistries or products.

From the street, you are unaware of the beauty of this serene boutique hotel. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Common living areas are spacious and beautiful . It's a 5 minute walk to town and 17minutes to the train station to Machu Picchu. I would recommend this hotel. Don't stay in Cusco, stay in Ollantaytambo at this hotel!

Stayed for two nights with family (kids ages 11 & 7). Very nice hotel located in the beautiful, historic town of Ollantaytambo. Hotel staff made sure we had some breakfast to take with us at 0545 before leaving for train station. Everyone we encountered made us feel very welcoming. Wish we could have stayed for more nights. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Staff were very helpful before and during our visit and arranged for 1.5 hour taxi ride from Cusco airport to Ollantaytambo and the return. Hotel staff were helpful with directions and service at breakfast was very good. The grounds have a large well kept series of gardens that are beautiful. Hotel stores luggage for guests while they take multiday trip via train to Machu Picchu.

The place is beautiful, sorrounded by great mountains which make a great view. Facilities have a very nice colonial style. Staff is very kind and rooms are comfortable and clean. The hotel is 2 block from the main plaza, so you can walk outside anytime with no problem.

Beautiful facility. Felt like a hostel for adults. The staff was very accommodating. Good English. Good Internet. 2 minute walk to the Center Plaza. Easy 12-minute walk to the train station, or take Moto cab for super cheap. My only complaint is that the walls and windows are super thin, and you can hear everything going on around you. So ask to be away from the main area, and bring earplugs.

The staff here was great. They took very great care of us, when we had gotten sick from drinking the water by mistake.

This hotel may be the farthest from the Plaza and ruins, but you can walk through the entire Ollantaytambo main city in less than 10 minutes. This hotel is picturesque. Stayed one night. We booked the room with one full bed and two twin beds. Large bathroom. Breakfast starts at 5 am, but our train to Machu Picchu was at 5 am. They packed each of us a bag of food and met us at 4:45 am to provide us this free snack for our trip. They stored our suitcases for the 2 full days that we were in Machu Picchu. Tremendous service. We also ate in their little cafe for dinner. Nothing special but good and sufficient.

The staff was amazing and helpful. They gave wonderful recommendations for food locations in town. The hotel is beautiful and I would go back just to stay at the hotel for a couple days. Felipe was amazing!!

To be clear, this is not a luxury hotel. However, the location, friendly staff and well designed hotel grounds including a quaint garden will have you relaxing in no time.
