The Manor Hotel by Greene King Inns

Anthony and Gillian worked tirelessly to deliver an exceptional dinner service in a very busy restaurant and bar. I thoroughly enjoyed both the food and their service.

We stayed here for our Sons wedding the room was great. The bed was huge and so comfy , far more comfortable than any Travelodge we’ve stayed in!!

The Hotel is fantastic the staff are brilliant loved my stay but i do go several times of the year to visit my daughter and every time my stay was the best. Will be booking again very soon.

I'm not sure the property has been decorated in the last 30 years and the rooms are tired and in desperate need of investment. The restaurant and bar were also tired, damaged furniture, etc but the food, drink and staff were fine.

I arranged a reunion with ten members of my family in Yeovil, where two of them live. We had five rooms, Saturday evening dinner and breakfast. Everyone I dealt with from booking through Greene King and then amending it, reception staff at the hotel and staff in the bar and restaurants was friendly and helpful, especially Toni. My bedroom and bathroom were very clean and had everything I needed, especially hot water. It was good value for money and rounded off with a hearty and delicious breakfast.

I’ve stayed here a couple of times for work. The staff have always been friendly and attentive, which I really appreciated. The location is good, and there’s plenty of parking available, which is definitely a plus. On my first stay, I had a larger room that was okay overall. However, my second stay has unfortunately put me off returning. The price is reasonable for what you get, but if you’re looking for something more comfortable, I’d recommend staying elsewhere. The second room felt outdated. It was relatively clean, but there were stains on the carpets, and in the hallways some areas of carpet were even coming apart. The room did have an iron, ironing board, and tea/coffee facilities, but the layout was awkward—the toilet, sink, and shower were all in separate areas, with the shower right next to the bed. There was no towel holder by the sink, the window didn’t fully close, and the lighting was poor. While the bed was reasonably comfortable, the noise was the biggest issue. My room was right next to a door, so I heard everyone walking past. To make matters worse, at midnight I was woken by a family having a long goodbye chat outside my room (not the hotel’s fault, but frustrating nonetheless). Breakfast was also disappointing. Service was good and staff remained friendly, but the fruit looked unappealing and the salmon on sourdough was bland and tasteless. It was just a small piece of bread with packaged salmon on top, and what tasted like powdered—or at least badly overcooked—egg.

Went for meal on a Tuesday night. Restaurant was ok but could do with a bit of refurbishment. Waitress was very friendly and helpful however service even for a round of drinks was slow. Good choice of menu, food was good but took quite a time to come out. One thing which lets the hotel down is having parked in disabled space right outside the door which was good, there are steps up to the door and no handrail. Having a husband who had mobility issues and uses a stick getting in and out was difficult without help from family.

Absolutely GRIM ! Be careful with reviews, many are relating to food in the pub not based on hotel quality. This hotel is like a 1970’s care home !! It’s dirty, tired & in need of a long overdue facelift. My shower poured out off-coloured yellow water which half filled the bath before black bits of sediment appeared, which I was told in the morning at reception would wash thru to run clear if you left it running - it didn’t - after half an hour of running the water, so I moved to another room with a very half-hearted apology. Chose to eat our up the road rather than in the hotel, Common areas such as carpets in hallways are filthy and the floors obviously very thin as I could hear the occupant of the room above pacing round and weeing loudly late at night and again first thing in the morning. All in all the worst hotel I’ve stayed in for years and certainly not worth anywhere near the £110 I paid for the room.

We recently got married at The Manor Hotel in Yeovil and we could not have been happier with the wonderful day we had. Katie and her team were so fantastic and nothing was too much. Every detail was thought of and we had such a wonderful day! We would suggest this venue to anyone looking to have a relaxed and beautiful day for a reasonable price. The food was immaculate.
