Great find - great staff - made us feel very welcome. Food excellent and good beers. 5 stars

Very small room with a double bed squeezed in, felt like central London for central London pricing. Unfavourable odour, low level conditions, and attempted to complain and told there were no options available. Explained it was not a £115 room and told there’s nothing that can be done. £70 doubles available in the coming weeks.

There was an issue with reservation but dealt with with very well by reception who upgraded to a premium room at no cost to apologise. Service throughout was friendly and on point. Enjoyable stay.

Excellent staff. Very friendly. A quiet place but handy for visiting Burton, Lichfield and other places of interest.

We had the perfect stay here, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I have been to The Riverside on several occasions to stay and each time it improves.

The hotel rooms and building are really dated and in need of refurbishment. The photographs published on the web are misleading. The rooms we were allocated were extremely small, very expensive and not worth the £135 per night we were charged. A number of things did not work in the room and when I spoke to a duty supervisor he didn’t appear particularly bothered. He went to great lengths to explain room pricing is based on demand and we were staying at the same time as a wedding party so prices were high. He also said that all rooms were the same small size but this appears incorrect if the published photographs are to be believed. We will not be back.

Great situation next to river and nature reserve. Very convenient to visit National Memorial Arboretum. Recent modernization. Rooms clean and very well equipped. Good atmosphere in bar and restaurant. Good varied menu. All staff attentive and very helpful. Would happily stay again.

Hotel was not what i was expecting for the money, small double room which was really more suited in size to being a single room. plastic curtain around shower, which grips you when your showering,Room floor not cleaned,but bed comfortable, cigarette butt ends not catered for and put out in plant pot with out flowers in entrance, broken door locks in bedroom out building block , the choice from the menu at dinner was very tasty and quick,, breakfast was nice, not mass produced,
