All fine except bench at table we had dinner at had food on it from previous occupants’ meal
I have stayed here a few times and this time was more disappointing than the rest. Usually the hotel has been fine.. A culmination of a noisy Wedding party with guests that decided to make a lot of noise bashing on bedroom doors shouting and having a fight with each other until the early hours.. not a lot was done to quell this, a dripping tap in the bathroom all night that could not be stopped and a chef that could not manage to cook poached eggs soft in the morning just added to it. On the positive, the new snack menu in the pub the night before was excellent..as were the evening staff. Breakfast staff not so attentive.
Tricky check-in. Room in poor condition - curtains hanging off. Slow service at Breakfast. Breakfast order for poached eggs came up as scrambled.
Visiting friends so the location suited us but most of Towcester seems to close at 4.00 pm on a Saturday. Good to have parking on-site d the service was good.

We stayed at the Saracens Head hotel as we were attending a 50th birthday celebration nearby. Great from start to finish. A warm, professional welcome on reception. We had lunch which was good quality and value for money with very good service. The room was really comfortable and we had the best night's sleep in a good size bed. A lovely breakfast and once again the service was excellent - friendly and efficient staff. Would definitely recommend.

Friendly staff and a good breakfast
Loved our stay however we had to carry our luggage up to third floor which was a little difficult for us. That being said, we loved the historical feel of the building, hallways and rooms (hence, no elevator! LOL!). Food was great! we were only here for 1 night and our family loved it. it was our first stop in England to go to a family wedding the next day. We did have a chance to walk around the town and it was lovely. Staff very friendly and helpful as were the townspeople!
