Comfortable spacious room. Good location and parking

Hotel was fine, staff were friendly, but there was a strong smell of cigarettes in the room, which seemed to be coming through the bathroom fan. It got worse through the night. I asked to change rooms but they were full. I’m a non smoker and never have smoked so the smell was very distraction whilst I slept. I put the fan on overnight hoping the venting out if air from my bathroom would help, it did a little, but the door of the bathroom had such a poor fit to the frame that light and noise from the bathroom distracted my sleep. I also mentioned it when checking out and the person on the front desk said that the room below mine had complained about the same thing. So a very disruptive, disappointing and smelly night in this pub with rooms.

Very friendly staff and helpful. Pleased with choice and quality of food. Have stayed four times now and bedrooms, wherever situated, take noise from the smoking area in the covered way outside the public bar/restaurant, late at night. Notice needs to be erected asking revelers/smokers to respect residents quarters after, maybe, 10.30 p.m.

Friendly, helpful staff. Cleanliness, Choice of food. Long trek to the room we were given, and water tank noise when other rooms had shower/bath.

My room was very noisy! As i was woken @ 2/3am in the morning and then again @ 7am again!!! Not going to recommend this hotel to family visiting as s result. Also breakfast was very disappointing!

Specially requested no feather bedding which had a reply saying ok. Then had a call the morning of our stay to say not possible! Had to tell the hotel that they had agreed to meet request, which wasn’t an unusual one and that they needed to put it right! Bedding was sorted on arrival! Room ok, but unbearably hot and I usually prefer a warmer room! Basic and in need of decoration but ok. Good breakfast in the morning! On check out, no one to be seen on reception! Last who was serving breakfast in the pub area came to help but couldn’t find person responsible! We were on a deadline to get somewhere and couldn’t hang around so ended up giving our key to the chef who had also come to help!! Overall it was ok but wouldn’t stay again.

Good place to stay, right in the town centre with a good amount of parking at the rear. Large bar area. Didnt eat there in the evening, so cannot comment on the food. Lots of restaurants nearby. Breakfast was good.

A wonderful property, but smokers gather at entrance to both reception and the restaurant and leave their cigarette butts all over the floor and pavers. Very unattractive appearance. It is a nice place though with loads of charm.

Would stop whenever again, very good food & clean & well maintained property, frendly staff

I have not stayed at an inn for a long time and I like it for its charm and I liked its location as well The room I was given was small, cosy and clean No aircon in the room just a standing fan The bathroom was clean but small but the throne in my room needs to be upgraded Staff were generally friendly but not in a conversational way I would recommend the inn for its location
