The hotel is well situated on the centre. The room was clean, and the breakfast very good. The staff were excellent.

The hotel has a bit of a Cromwellian theme and it looks like that was when it was last renovated . All the paintwork needs work as done.in fact the whole place needs an update. Not a great advertisement for Greene King.

"Pleasant hotel to stay, wouldn’t overly rate food"

Pleasant stay, reasonable price for our 1 night stay

I have to say the food was not great, I understand it’s a reasonable price we stayed for. But a meal we sent back, someone’s nachos came as 1 big lump. I wouldn’t eat here again if I’m honest

"Lots of FUN and ENJOYMENT with my husbands sons and their spouses. A Great Stay."

The staff was great and extremely friendly and helpful. The place is an older style pace, and has historical value and lots of older hotel character.

Being older and sometimes, a bit weary, the door to our room closed and locked - but it did not seem to lock to accommodate my weary outlook. This is NOT BAD - because there are cameras everywhere, but it was a noticeable distraction for me.
