Dartbridge Inn by Greene King Inns

The room was tiny, the mattress was far too soft and soggy - we tried flipping it over and turning it around but no change-really poor quality mattress. The noise from the road was unbelievably loud-there was double glazing which made no difference at all and if it was a warm summer day and you had to have the window open it would be even louder. It's a fast road along the full length of the building and even at 10pm there was continual traffic. The management provide ear plugs which do not help at all so obviously they've had complaints about the noise before! We left at 11pm and went home as we couldn't bear the mattress and the noise. The place seems to be run by very young people and no sign of a manager.

Initial greeting and staff very friendly and helpful. Very good dinner and breakfast and good value for money. Convenient location as we had friends to dinner at the hotel and comfy bedrooms and cosy environment. Would recommend.

The bar 'manager' closing the bar at 11am on the Sat night of 6/6 was very unfriendly and rude. It was 2300 and we had ordered some drinks at 2240 and we were finishing them off. At 2300 he said the bar was closed and we must either finish our drinks immediately or take them to rooms. We politely requested 10 mins just to finish them as we could not drink them that quickly. He refused to and then escorted us up to our rooms. His behaviour was bizarre, rude and totally unreasonable as guests to the hotel.

Pleasant helpful staff. Spacious bedroom and reataurant.

Some traffic noise from the adjacent A road. Quite easily assimilated and not intrusive. Quiet during the important sleep times. If possible would prefer a 'quieter' room for any future stay/s.

Dartbridge inn hotel Buckfastleigh The Atmosphere was great Our room was very nice and we loved the food And the staff was Amazing very friendly Nicola very helpful and made sure my wife had some breakfast for me to take up to her one time my wife didn’t come down for breakfast Definitely would recommend staying here and will ourselves again The only thing I would say is if your staying in one of the front bedroom’s it can get a little bit noisy but the hotel do provide ear plugs
