The Inn was welcoming and friendly. The room was spotless and I loved the shower. The bed was very comfortable. We will definitely consider staying again

The service in the restaurant was very very slow. We didn't bother with a dessert. I know it's supposed to be relaxed but 2 hours and only had a main was too slow. Breakfast was short staffed. Only one poor waitress running around. We had to wait an age to sit down but it clearly wasn't her fault.

"Lovely period property and a warm welcome"

We've stayed in a few Greene King Inns and it's fair to say they are variable in terms of their physical quality and condition. The Dartbridge Inn was a delight, a charming building which has a period character but has been upgraded tastefully. As usual with this chain, the staff were excellent. Personable, friendly and efficient. They seemed genuinely happy to look after us and were thoughtful throughout our 4 day stay. We were sorry to leave! The food was standard fare, but tasty, hot and well-presented. Breakfast in particular was plentiful and set us up for the day. As I enjoy an ale it was good to have a choice of three on hand pump as well as lagers, stout etc. all at reasonable prices.

Being an old building the floors could be creaky, meaning we heard other guests on the move sometimes. There's a main road close to the property. Our room was towards the back away from this but if you faced into it I imagine there could be quite a bit of road noise.

"Dartmoor trip"

I love the location of the Dartbridge inn, just at the bottom of Dartmoor, easily accessible to the moors and the coast. The food was great and the service excellent. The staff were fantastic and our room was cleaned every day. Well done to Jacob and the team.

The rooms were quite hot but there's not much you can do about the weather.
