Hillbrook Inn & Spa

Loved returning to Hillsbrook Inn, great restaurant and beautiful grounds

We ended up staying in two different places at this property. One night was at the Hillbrook Farmhouse in the Summit suite. And in the Fall Cottage for 2 nights. We booked through our Amex which stated that the inn was pet friendly. Apparently they are unaware that only part of the Inn is pet friendly. Luckily we had family (reason for visit) close by to watch our dog the 1st night. *This is just to explain staying in both places in one trip. The staff is extremely friendly and everything is clean. The food was really good as well. Overall opinion is that this is a very charming, rustic and relaxing place to stay. This will be our go to when traveling to WV. Highly recommend.

Beautiful property, loved the decor, friendly staff, food was decent; however, some options were better than others.

Bathroom shower could have been cleaner. Bathroom was way smaller than expected.

My husband and I have stayed at Hillbrook Inn several times, most recently for our anniversary. There is a reason we keep coming back—the inn is charming, the staff are all incredibly helpful, and the grounds are beautiful. This visit, we brought along our dog and stayed in one of the cottages. It was comfortable and spacious, and they had treats and bowls set up for our pup. It’s in a great location—close to Harper’s Ferry and easy to access hiking trails and historic sites. We had a great massage at the spa—highly recommend adding a treatment to your visit. The only reason this is 4 stars and not 5 stars is the food at the restaurant. During our previous visits, we absolutely loved the food. I think they now have a new chef and the food is less great. Most of our meals were over salted, and I had both a quiche and a lava cake that were hot on the outside and completely cold on the inside. The restaurant service is great and it is still one of the best options in the area. But the difference in the food quality was noticeable. Still, it’s not enough to change our overall feelings about Hillbrook and we look forward to our next stay!

Made the reservation while driving! Harpers Ferry is full of history and a beautiful little town. We stopped in Sheperdstown on the way, also lovely. We stayed at the charming Hillbrook Inn, also full of history, in Charles Town, WV. If you are in the area, this is a great place to stay. The Inn grounds are stunning and it is beautifully decorated inside and out. It looks like you are in Bavaria when you drive in and every little detail is considered in the room choices as well as the breakfast that was included in our stay. Absolutely delicious! The Summer Cottage was available last minute and made for a great nights rest.

Everything about this place is magical!!! The staff, the room, the dining/food, the history, the grounds. I could go on and on. We travel a lot and this was a very enjoyable and very nice surprise and stay. There is wildlife, the building and land have some serious history. They have a small cozy bar area. We will be back!!!

I loved everything about this place!!! The staff! The lodging!! The food!!! The grounds!! This B&B is out in the country, very historical land and part of the building. Beautiful tutor design. I can’t wait to come back! Close to Harper’s Ferry which is a treat as well.

The breakfast was excellent and the location was very convenient.

The s’mores kit had stale marshmallows and no chocolate and there was a $25.00 hotel fee?

We had such a nice romantic couples Valentine’s Day get away! Everyone was so nice and they even let us check in early 😊. The room was perfect and close to everything we needed. I also had a massage at the spa and for someone who gets them regularly, I can honestly say it was the best massage I’ve ever had! Super relaxing laid back overnight trip! We will definitely be back in the summer with the kids!
