Absolutely amazing! I have traveled the world over and I must say that Hillbrook is undoubtedly my favorite inn and restaurant, rivaling anything the DC area has to offer. The inn is beautiful and the restaurant is fantastic, food, service and ambiance. Only an hours drive from DC, this is a must for anyone who lives in the WMA!

Beautiful grounds. It's in the middle of nowhere, so it's a place to chill. Room was a bit dusty. They have nice, fluffy towels and delicious breakfast options. I loved the eggs benedict and homefries.

Hillbrook Inn is a magical place . My wife and spent three days here . The food was out of this world and The Summit Suite at the farmhouse was fantastic . Megan at the front desk was extremely bright and helpful and Christian the head bar keep 5 star. Hillbrook is 6 star not 5 best of the best Worth every dime. Congratulations 🎊

Our room was neglected from being cleaned, resupplied or refreshed even when we didn't put the sign on the door . We were told that the staff had trouble getting in.

We were looking for a destination for Thanksgiving with our adult daughter who lives in DC. We wanted someplace that felt special, out in pretty countryside, but not a lot of driving to get there over a holiday. The Hillbrook Inn fit the bill. We booked two rooms at the Gate House. I was concerned that we would be too far removed, but the 6 minute walk to the main Inn was easy and perfect before and after a meal. The other rooms are all on the various levels of the Inn which climbs up the hill. I was also concerned that once we got there, there wouldn't be anything to do. That is actually true, but Harpers Ferry National Historic Park is about 30 minutes by car and is an interesting day trip. Other times of year I'm sure the walking and exploring outdoors is a good diversion. Our daughter enjoyed the massage we booked for her very much. The food was well prepared and tasty, and staff members were all pleasant. The rooms were nicely furnished and the beds were very comfortable. I left my charger plugged into the wall and called very soon after we left, but it had "disappeared" already - so be careful about items left out or behind.

We deeply enjoyed staying at the Hillbrook. It was perfectly quiet and amazingly relaxing. The facilities were comfortable and a charmingly rustic.. it was nice to be in such a quiet intimate space, with so limited guests you felt like you were alone most of the time. The main facility an a lovely old home, meandering and rustic, yet a classic old estate kind of feel. Let me say, as nice as everything was, it was the staff which truly elevated the experience. Christian handled everything from check in, to bar service, to waiter, to tending to tending the bonfire outside. His personality and astounding energy were spectacular. Trevor was our waiter for dinner and he made everything tremendous. But, I would say he was one of a true team of professionals. For a quiet, small out of the way Inn and Spa, the service was on par with any high end restaurant. They are truly amazing I would say, my only disappointment was with the chefs menu. It was not about the cost and the wine pairing was great, but the Waygu beef was not good. Under cooked and buried in sauce, masking and ruining what should have been the highlight of the meal. The scallops were a bit under poached, but okay…. For under poached. Breakfast was warm and extremely comfortable. Not a huge menu, but the one thing I wanted the most was poorly prepared. Again, on the whole, I loved the short walk on the gravel path to a small intimate dining experience. The one dining experience was very expensive and not good. I want to go back, looking forward to trying on of the other lovely suites or cottage rooms. Other than a meal correction, I cannot wait to relax again Thanks Christian and Trevor. Great job JW
