"Good choice for flying from the Atlanta airport"

The Atlanta Hilton Garden inn is a good choice for flying from the Atlanta airport. The free airport shuttle was on time and reliable. The rooms are good. We encountered no problems. The clerks could have been more friendly and attentive but not a big deal. It's not in a great area but the other Atlanta airport hotels aren't either . It is what it is. They have a gate and a fence around the parking lot and I did see a security car out front once. I'd stay at this hotel again if flying from the Atlanta airport.

"Smells like dirty wet towels, no shuttle when you really need it"

Had to book at the Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Airport North due to the combo of FAA cancellations and thunderstorms. I booked this hotel bceause I'm a Hilton Honors member and because it was listed as having a free airport shuttle. With the delays and cancellations, we didn't arrive until 1:30am. After several attempts at calling, I finally reached the front desk at 1:45am to say we would be taking the shuttle. The person told me the shuttle stopped at 2am but that she would tell him we were there. We arrived curbside at 2am, no shuttle. When we called, she said the shuttle had already done its last run and to take an Uber. The Uber was $45 for a 5 min ride. Unbelievable considering the number of people arriving at the airport at this time of night due to the delays. Several letters of the Hilton sign was burnt out (Hilton en Inn), which was illustrative of the quality of the hotel. The water dispenser in the lobby (with the orange slices) was empty and no effort to refill it. Getting off the elevator, the hallway reeked of dampness, like dirty, wet towels, or a wet carpet. The room smelled the same, but no way to open the windows to air it out. One of the bedside lamps was broken. Overall a terrible experience after a 8 hr delay and forced layover due to a flight cancellation. I can't belive this place can use the Hilton name.

"Stay clear of this poorly run Hilton!"

How can a hotel only have 3 pillows on a king sized bed and the girl at the front said there were no more pillows. If she could find some we would have to come down and get them. Her attitude was less than professional. We stay at Hiltons 30 plus days a year and have never found this poor attitude and poor management at any Hilton properties. Do yourselves a favor and stay some where else.

"Avoid this hotel."

Following our arrival in Atlanta, we experienced several issues with the transportation and hotel arrangements: • Upon arrival at the airport, the transportation was not waiting for us as scheduled and arrived with some delay. • When we reached the newly assigned hotel, the reception did not have our reservations prepared. We had to wait nearly 30 minutes before being attended to, and they did not have a reservation list available. • After this delay, we faced further difficulties as both elevators were out of service. Despite several requests, the technician never appeared, and many of us, including hotel guests and part of the crew, had to carry our luggage upstairs using the stairs. • Additionally, the overall hotel conditions were below acceptable standards: the property was noisy and not clean, the air conditioning unit was old and extremely loud, and the general cleanliness of the hallways was poor. In my opinion, the comfort and standards of this hotel do not reflect the level expected for Hilton accommodations.

"Post stay customer service disappointment."

Arrived mid evening, Hilton Diamond member checked into a room that was on the face of it, was ok, standard HGI room expectation. Had dinner in the restaurant and then returned to the room for an early night due to long travel day. However, in the middle of the night got out of bed to use the facility when the mattress raised and toppled a little on one side as I sat on the edge of the bed, which seemed strange. Upon looking what was going on I discovered that 2 twin box springs had been pushed together as the base of the bed as a’boxdpring’ and a Queen size none fitting mattress that did not fit over the two box springs created the mattress to topple to one side, I couldn’t believe it, but by that time it was the middle of the night so I was stuck with it. The next day I spoke with Valerie the on duty manager at the front desk, she was very apologetic and sympathetic, and without me asking stated that she would be placing 50,000 HH points in my Diamond account for the I convenience. Two weeks later and after a couple of follow ups with her I am still waiting for the courtesy points. But overall was very disappointed that HGI would allow such a bed set up. For an old person who may easily fall out of bed with this issue, very dangerous and it was a potential negligence law suite waiting to happen!
