Hotel Kokoro Mineral Hot Springs

The property is absolutely gorgeous! You couldn't get a better view of the volcano and the other landscaping is absolutely stunning. The staff was hospitable, patient, and knowledgeable. The food was also delectable and our shuttle drivers found the hotel rather easily, so transport to other places around the island was simple.

La zona en que está situado es bonita, tiene 3 piscinas de agua termal y 1 fría. 2 de las piscinas termales son demasiado calientes y casi imposibles de usar. Al hotel le hace falta una remodelación total de las instalaciones, se nota viejo y le falta mantenimiento. Por lo que se pagó en una noche, se podría conseguir un mejor hotel.

We loved the natural feel of the gardens and area where our room was (no 20) and saw so many animals and birds while staying. Although the rooms are rustic, we had no problems with insects. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the gardeners would happily show you the animals that were around, including the sloths. The only things we think could be improved would be more furniture on the veranda, so 3 of us could sit together and more furniture around the pool. We would definitely stay again.

Highly recommend staying here, very accommodating place

It’s quite the drive from the airport but man is it worth it. The rooms, grounds, food, staff (everyone and everything) was incredible. I would stay there again anytime

Our room was big and we loved the architecture and view out to Arenal. Unfortunately, the bed sagged in the middle and the fitted sheet kept popping off the mattress topper. Also the lock on our door broke which meant we couldn't get into the unit for over an hour-- we were surprised they didn't at least offer to buy us a drink! Also, the hot springs aren't nice. But the restaurant is very convenient since we didn't want to go out at night and there are no other places within walking distance. Service was slow and the menu is very basic but hey, it's Costa Rica! Overall we were happy with the location and kitties were very happy to be petted.

The wildlife on the property, the tranquility of the surrounding forest, the relaxing thermal pools, the nature trail, incredible breakfast, friendly staff, gorgeous cabin, large spacious bathroom. Loved this slice of tropical paradise! 3 thermal pools with differing temperatures made it more comfortable for each of my family members to have their prefered temperature.

Great place, saw 2 sloths, 2 turkeys, on arrival. Food was good. Beautiful place, thermal pools were great.

Kokoro was a great experience! My husband and I were met with great customer service from Yat the front desk employee who speaks English and Spanish. The rooms are seperate cabins which makes it feel more private. The room was clean, had a coffee pot, small fridge, 4 free bottles of water, air conditioning, ceiling fans, a safe and a tv with many channels with youtube and can add your Netflix account. The bathroom had a large shower, hot water, blow dryer, small travel size bottles of lotion, shampoo, conditioner, tooth brush and tooth paste. The grounds of the Kokoro were well maintained. The bonus was 3 hot spring pools they emptied daily all varying in different tempetures. The free hot breakfast was good. All the staff from the lady who ran the resturant to the grounds keeper. We saw 2 sloths, a beautiful tucan, many species of birds and a couple of cats. We loved all the animals. I did have a massage with Angelica and I was sadly disappointed. She seemed like she was in such a hurry to finish the massage and quickly ran to a waiting car after I thanked her and gave her tip. All in all our experience was great. We liked it so much we stayed another day. Not far from town with great views of the volcano. I would highly recommend and would love to go back and stay at Kokoro.
