The Safed Inn

I recently spent 3 nights at this location with my family. The owners were very friendly and extremely accommodating. While it is a simple "2-star" hotel/motel we found it to be a nice cross between a private "zimmer" (cabin) with hotel like services.

This is a great small hotel to stay at in the heart of one of Israel's most scenic areas. It's in a quiet neighborhood and features some great amenities such as a shared sauna, jacuzzi, bbq area and garden to enjoy the fresh air. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, and will go out of their way to ensure you have an enjoyable vacation.

Safed Inn is ticked away on a hill outside the old city. Riki and Dov will make your stay very warm and welcoming. The Israeli breakfast is incredible. I would definitely recommend staying here! And I hope to make my way back here soon!

We stayed 1 night on a windy and chilly night in mid-March so we did not use the spa. Rikki was very helpful with directions and recommendation of a restaurant that was open Friday night. She also recommended stopping at Rosh Hanikra on our way to our next stop in Akko. The continental breakfast was adequate after a large dinner.

we have stayed at the hotel a number of times - frankly they have let the place deteriorate - rooms quite dirty - in particular the washroom - nice atmosphere and as usual - staff courteous and friendly.

We spent a couple of nights here as part of a two-week trip around Israel. The trees and plantings on the grounds of the Safed Inn (aka the Rukenstein B&B) had suffered quite a bit of damage in a recent rare heavy snowfall, but it was easy to see at first sight that the owners care for their establishment and work hard to keep it in good condition. Lovely retro touches throughout (lava lamps!) The Inn is on a quiet street; it looks complicated on the map, but the GPS had no trouble finding the location. The room was nice, the breakfast was great, and the hosts (one a California native, the other an Israeli) were super helpful in their suggestions on where to go and what to do in the Northern Galilee & Golan region. Facilities include WiFi, a computer room, a lounge, and a small kitchenette.

Terrific experience. The proprietors were exceedingly helpful. They recommended the best restaurant, got us our taxi, and we're ever ready to dispense some meaningful advise. Our stay was very restful. The grounds and room layouts enhance a relaxing privacy. Would definitely stay here again the next time we are in Sfat.

I was delighted with my six night stay in the Safed Inn. I enjoy a simple lifestyle and so was very happy with my room. The adjacent community kitchen and common room with internet access were quite useful. The best part of the stay is the hosts, Riki and Dov, who are ready to answer your questions and help you on your trip. In addition Riki loves to cook and prepares excellent breakfasts as well as her homemade liqueurs, especially the walnut. The Safed Inn is a great location to begin a trip in any of the four directions in Northern Israel.

We stayed for two nights and enjoyed the quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Rikki and her husband were wonderful hosts and very helpful with advice on where to visit in the area. The rooms could use some upgrading but were clean and comfortable.
