"Great place just outside Sefat."

10.0

Great little oasis on the hill above Sefat. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was fabulous with homemade breads and jams. There is a kitchen available for use and a sauna and hot tub. We would definitely go back here.

"Lovely Inn"

10.0

This is not a luxury hotel but it doesn't try to be one. The beds were extremely comfortable, the owner available and helpful, and the location nice and quiet. It was just what we needed! We would definitely stay there again.

"Great value, tranquil and charming"

10.0

The innkeepers, Ricky and Dov, are gracious and helpful–they went above and beyond to attend to all of our requests. The inn is comfortable and charming, with a lovely garden. Because the inn is located a few miles outside of town, a car is a plus. After spending the day in the hustle and bustle of sightseeing, shopping in the shuk and walking through the crowded streets of Zefat, it was a pleasure to return to this tranquil retreat at the top of a hill above town.

"Lovely and Charming. Recommend!"

8.0

We stayed for two nights this past weekend with our friend in a standard double room. The room has a double bed and a single bed with a half divider wall in between, so it worked out very well, but the room could be bigger. The bathroom is big with a tube. The furnishing is a bit dated, retro, eclectic, and some corners / fixtures can use a fresh coat of paint, but our room and the entire inn is very clean, so it is pleasant. The grounds is smoothing and charming. We decided to order the "continental breakfast" (by 8pm the night before), and that's when the magic came. As soon as we sat down, Riki brought us orange juice, then tea, coffee, & creamer, then three types of home-made jam (very gourmet & yummy), then white chocolate and nutella spreads, then bread, then hot pastries, and then she asked how we wanted our eggs. This is the first time for us to receive eggs cooked in any style we want at a continental breakfast. We sat and tasted and chatted and were all delighted by Riki's wit and her knowledge of northern Israel. We will definitely come back. Also, Riki's dinner recommendations worked out well also; we enjoyed Baladna and the town Jish.

"Wonderful stay at the Safed Inn"

10.0

I stayed at the Safed Inn with members of my family. After long walks in Safed streets we headed to the hotel. The direction we received were great as the GPS seemed to get lost. We were welcomed by the owner. She was SUPER friendly and welcoming. The rooms were perfect, bed comfortable, quiet, and large enough for comfort. Water was in the fridge. We had called ahead to request the Israeli breakfast. I think this is one of the rare case were, although the picture showing the spread looked nice, the actual food was actually even better: fresh homemade bread, cheeses, eggs, vegetables,... We skipped lunch after it. I would add that listening to the news, some people might hesitate to travel to Israel. I can say I feel more comfortable here than in many places in the US.

"not happy"

2.0

over rated. hard to deal with. very simple . hard to get luggage to room. no elevators. there was no shampoo for three days. a/c did not work properly. TV had very few channels. blurry and not clear. bed sheeting was old and smelly. no ice machine. definitely does not deserve its high rating on the web.

"Loved it"

10.0

We booked 3 nights expecting a clean, simple, basic 2-star establishment, with helpful, accomodating owners. We got all that and more. The room was lovely, with air conditioning, cable tv, a kettle with coffee, tea and milk supplied, and bath robes (not just towels). The beds were comfortable, the staff helpful, friendly and pleasant. The owners, Dov and Riki, are perfect hosts -there if you need them and they stay out of your way if you don't. There's a hot bath and sauna for use of guests in the evenings. Around the grounds are chairs and tables, hammocks, double swings. There's a lovely guest lounge. We have been to many supposedly higher quality hotels in higher price ranges and Safed Inn doesn't fall short of any of them in terms of quality of the holiday and feeling relaxed. Tzfat (Safed) is one of the four holy cities to Jews from biblical times (the other three being Jerusalem, Hebron and Tiberias) and amongst its residents, there is a fascinating blend of very religious / spiritual Jews and artists. The old city is full of art galleries and Judaica and it's a delight walking through its cobblestone paths. This PS is only relevant to religiously- observant Jews: 1. as Riki herself will tell you, do not go for Shabbat as the place is not shomer Shabbat. We are observant Jews and went during the week. 2. The kitchen, while not treif, is not under kosher supervision but you can take the room only option.
