"Safed Inn - Israel"

10.0

hard to find so had to get a taxi to lead us. They are on a corner and face two streets so somehow there is no number on the building. Anyway, we were very impressed with this friendly little establishment. The owners were so helpful and knowledgable. They are American and after staying at 9 Israeli hotels this was the only one that :"gets" and understands what North Americans like in a hotel. The food was absolutely delicious- she makes her own jams and we had these for breakfast . We had the continental breakfast - toast, jam, eggs, tea, coffee, juice, poppyseed role. She - the owner- also makes her own bread. The breakfast was very filling and I have to say the best breakfast we had in all of Israel. They were so attentive to details - several English speaking tv channels that worked. There were terry robes and slippers for us in the bedroom The owners even had a large map of the town and of Israel. We also had a light supper - again so delicious - homemade soup, bread, salad, tea, coffee. Would stay here again. Town -we looked for kabballah info but hard to locate any. Artists alley is worth seeing - of art galleries and stores with crafts

"Excellent hospitality"

10.0

The owners Riki & Dov went way out of the way to be helpful & hospitable. Israeli breakfast was substantial with many homemade items including the bread. I especially liked trying some of the local wines at their bar.

After running across Israel in the middle of the summer, this hotel was a breath of fresh air with spacious rooms in a mountain setting, relaxing environment, and very warm and helpful staff.

We had a wonderful one night stay at this inn while exploring Israel. The owners are very warm and welcoming, and we were catered to with an amazing Israeli breakfast, prepared by owners.

"Salt of the earth"

10.0

We chose the Safed Inn as our home base for exploring the upper and lower Galilee area. The location was perfect, high up in the mountains, cooler, forested, quiet. But best of all, innkeepers Riki and Dov were just wonderful to us: warm, welcoming, helpful and sociable. By the time we left, we felt as if we had made new friends we would want to introduce to the rest of our family. The accommodations were homey rather than fancy, with comfortable beds, free wi fi, access to laundry facilities, and in-room tv and coffee/tea making supplies. We chose the Israeli breakfasts and also had soup, salad and fresh bread every night for dinner. Wow! Riki makes her own cheeses, breads, fruit conserves and liqueurs, and is a wonderful cook. She and Dov gave us maps, directions, and advice on what to visit. The Safed Inn wasn't lodging so much as a home away from home.
