1864 The Sea Captain's House

Perfect stay on Santorini. Takis was extremely helpful from the transfer to the house from a delayed ferry to helping us back off to the airport with our changing schedule, The suite was perfect for our family of 4 and quiet at night. The breakfast on the patio each morning was second to none! I would recommend to all my friends and family. And Oia was a great landing spot for this leg of our trip. Thank you!

The best place in Oia! The amazing view of the caldera from our main door of the Captain's Suite, the tasteful wooden furniture and decor, the breakfast feast in the courtyard, the transfer and porter service, and the people (Takis, Demi, Vasilikus, etc.) made our stay unforgettable.

It’s a fantastic place! The host is super nice. We had a unforgettable time there. Very convenient location, gorgeous view, very close to the iconic blue dome churches. I have traveled a lot and stayed in many hotels. I don’t usually recommend hotels to other people unless it’s truly outstanding, and 1864 The Sea Captains House is one of them. You won’t regret if you choose it.

What to say about this place? It is better than the photos! The location is the best in Santorini. The breakfasts are unbelievable. Takis and staff are friendly and helpful. You feel like they are making this your home. The two drawbacks: everyone is taking Instagram photos outside the courtyard, and the shower facilities are awkward. Other than that: perfection!! We will return.

Perfect location along the caldera path in Oia. Clean room, comfy bed, complimentary coffee, water and juice. Breakfast was ridiculously tasty and Takis is a gracious and fantastic host. Lovely view from the balcony!

Beautiful property with gorgeous view. Cave suite was perfect for three adults. Private dining area overlooking the sea makes it the best suite imo. Staff goes above and beyond.

What a wonderful stay. Perfect location in the true heart of Oia. A very historic and well located building in the center of town. Be prepared for a memorable breakfast on your balcony overlooking views unparalleled. We stayed in the older of the three rooms which was still a great size and a perfect venue for us. Takis and all staff were so kind anfc accommodating. We will be back!

The location in Santorini was right in the heart of the shopping and food in Oia. Takis and the staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and Takis gave us great tips to see the most of the island.
