Marriott's Oceana Palms

Overall a pleasant stay at this property.

The resort was extremely clean, pools were big enough for the amount of guests, and the activties they offered were fun for the family.

The resort definitely has poor management. We waited over an hour past check-in for our room after a day of traveling. We arrived around 12:30 and didn’t get our room until 5:30 pm. Other families had been waiting for longer. Also, there was a security guard who thought he was the CIA or something and would go around and find something to complain about. When my family and I went to checkout, they claimed we never paid the resort l despite having paid weeks ago. Even after showing confirmation emails they didn’t find that proof enough.

We stayed in the villa. It had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a dining area and a full kitchen. I loved the in-unit washer and dryer. Everything about our room was absolutely beautiful. The beds were very comfortable. The pillows were fluffy. We had an amazing view of the ocean! The pool was perfect for the kids! The private access to the beach was convenient. I would love to come back!

We keep coming back to Marriott Oceana Palms! We have been to Aruba, St Thomas, St Johns and most of the resorts on Hilton Head. They are all nice, but at Oceana Palms you make special memories in a spacious 2 BR oceanfront condo that sleeps 8. As a mother of 7 children, I look forward to coming to Singer Island and know the AWESOME staff will take great care of my family. Yari, the general manager, Chris & Andrea are the best! We have been coming here almost every year for over 10 years. Tonight as we watched the 4th of July fireworks I was reminiscing about all the great times at Oceana Palms. My kids aging from 32 yrs down to 13 years old say " Oceana Palms is the best place on earth!

Was excited to stay here as I love Marriott properties. Looked like a good place to stay. I think the hotel and rooms itself are great. Low key area and great for families. Beautiful beach and a really nice pool with lots of kids and families. The quick service restaurant (only one on property) was good and the service was quick. Had a lot of every day needs as well. Customer service here is severely lacking. Everyone is very friendly but basically management is no where to be found. I had a 4 pm check in and got to the hotel around noon and checked in. I understand I’d have to wait until 4pm the latest which I was fine with. However every single front desk employee I spoke with kept saying “oh your room will be ready very shortly they’re cleaning it now”. I was very patient as I knew 4pm was technically check in. 4pm came and went and I never received a text my room was ready. When I went to the front desk at 4:05 pm they said “oh they’re just cleaning and inspecting the room shouldn’t be more than 15 min”. It took over 20 min. Next I asked to speak with the manager because I wanted to see what could be done. They “magically” found a room for me. The manager took forever to come out of the back and basically told me to speak to the other manager tomorrow (to pass me off to someone else.) I have two kids - and this is simply unacceptable. I asked for a late check out which I had to make sure the employee put in the system - at first he just said “sure”. I requested Marriott points as compensation for this inconvenience (this is pretty standard at Marriott’s) and never received them. Lastly the parking at this hotel is ridiculous. The parking garage is insanely small so if you have an suv there’s not many spots you can fit. They even had to add parallel parking spots in front of the elevators which are a tight squeeze. They do have an EV charger but it’s a 3 hour max. Overall I loved the property but probably wouldn’t return because customer service is lacking.

We just spent 5 nights here in a 2-bedroom ocean VIEW room in the Sunset building. We are Westin owners, which now included Marriott Vacation Club as well, so it was our second time at a Marriott VC. I do have to say, I’ve stayed at better resorts on the beach, but I’ll still give this 3.5-4 stars. We preferred shopping and dining in Palm Beach area - and overall it just felt more upscale and nice there. About a 15-20 minute drive. Guys golfed a few times at recommended courses and had fun. Girls did the Marriott hotel spa one day and enjoyed. It’s about 5 units down if you walk or Uber. Check the weather if you plan to go here during summertime (rainy season)! We assumed WPB was like 30A and gets lots of sunny summertime weather; however, it rained (like a monsoon!) most of our days here (and flight out of WPB even got cancelled, so we spent an extra night in Miami). Would NEVER go here again in June! And have learned to check when it’s prime season or not. Must be why we were able to book here for June within less than a 12-month window. Positives: Clean and relatively updated rooms Friendly staff at check-in and they greet you every time you walk through lobby Nice beach with free chairs and $20 umbrellas to rent for a day, $5 for a small table. The hut where you rent also serves some good cold beer etc. Good unit with all of the utensils we needed They’ll replenish towels, laundry detergent etc upon request Beautiful clear ocean water! Gentle waves. Not a “party” crowd and no one was blasting loud music at beach- yay! Negatives: No robes in rooms (this would be a nice and luxurious touch, relatively inexpensive to implement?) No daily room cleaning No beach or poolside servers/wait staff as are typical at most Westin properties we’ve stayed at Cramped parking spaces (1 car per unit) Limited restaurant options on site Would we go here again? Probably not my first choice. Would prefer 30A area of Florida for beaches with white sand next time. But it was still a fun family vacation. We made the most of the rain etc! (That’s not their fault!) Some recommended restaurants in PB: - Flagler Steakhouse at the Breakers (best steak ever!) - Renato’s Italian near Worth Street - amazing! Go early enough for daylight and sit outside courtyard (feels like you’re in Italy!) - Imoto at Buccan— wow such delicious sushi! -Hive for awesome breakfast and pastries - Dontee’s Diner for another good DINER breakfast or lunch in a longtime, famous spot Visit the Colony Hotel near Worth Ave for the cutest boutique hotel vibes and to grab lunch or a cocktail. Wow! Beautiful!! Johnny Longboats (about a mile away) IF you like touristy and overpriced, mediocre food. My least favorite meal there. Hope this helps. This was a family of 4 with 2 adult kids. So the review would be *much different* if we had smaller kids I’m sure! Perfect place for that with a kids pool etc. and lots of shade at the pool.

I would recommend because is an amazing property, but had problems with checking they were late an hour and 1/2 to check us in, the room wasn’t ready. We had 2 rooms and the other room they could not sleep because the air conditioner was broken.

Fantastic stay, great access to beach. Quiet, great accomodations. Clean, spacious. The whole family loved it
