Rising Sun Hotel by Greene King Inns

Very disappointing. Staff friendly but so many corners have been cut I felt very mis-sold. Despite booking four months in advance I was given a tired room overlooking air vents with the picture literally hanging upside down! (It was hearts so easy to see). The food was really bad - how can poached egg on toast taste that bad!? I think the ingredients were so poor it couldn't taste good. Greene King are selling everyone a quality pub experience but just not living up to the promise at all. I stayed in 7 places on my Cotswold Way walk and this was easily the least good/most disappointing

the shower was faulty and nearly burnt my back still charged full price I would not stay there again

I thought that the breakfast was really good and also the view through the restaurant window whilst eating it was really good.

The only thing was the view from my bedroom window (room19), wasn't the best, but couldn't really be helped.

The situation of the hotel is great , overlooking Cheltenham and very close to the Cotswold Way.

Some of the hotel is a little dated.

Room was very comfortable with great views.

The staff were very friendly and attentive and professional. The room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. The food was very tasty and well presented.

I couldn't find anything that I disliked.
