"Excellent"

Clean, spacious, warm room. Good breakfast. Shame there was no evening meal as there is not much in terms of restaurants locally other than take-always. Pub next door which came in handy and has a decent pint of Guiness.

"Pleasantly surprised!"

We were pleasantly surprised by The Throstles Nest. It doesn't look great from the outside but inside was clean and welcoming. We were a group of friends staying in the family room. The bathroom was big, there was tea and coffee facilities and a large tv. The staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel was only 5 mins drive from the city centre and docks. Breakfast in the morning was a lifesaver after a heavy night out. For what we paid, it definitely served our purpose and I would stay again!

"Great little place"

We had a enjoyable stay here for the weekend sight seeing,breakfast was amazing, staff fantastic very welcoming and helpful. Only minor issue was our mattress had a couple of annoying springs, would stay here again. It is an old building and you do hear everyone walking around try get a top floor room.

"friendly hotel"

Our 1st visit to Liverpool for a friends birthday party so didn't know what to expect. Arrived at the hotel to be a little surprised by the state of the paintwork, needs doing. But when inside we couldnt ask for a more friendly host, Kevin and the rest off the staff. We were in an ideal spot for our party and liverpool 1 was a 10 minute walk or 3 minute taxi ride away. We would consider staying here again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, this was a last minute emergency booking made by my company for me and my wife and I couldn't praise the staff enough for all they done to make our stay pleasant... Top notch breakfast too....

Hotel was a little gem, had everything we needed for a weekend in Liverpool. Rooms are clean & well maintained, staff were helpful and breakfast was spot on! Would recommend.
