"Ideal Location"

8.0

Only stayed for one night and booked online. The hotel has parking available and allowed us to park our motorbikes there. The rooms were a little tired but the breakfast , staff etc more than made up for it.

"Friendly owners, great value room"

8.0

This hotel was a good find, offering a small but comfortable and clean room. Good sized TV. The garden is lovely with a small swimming pool and very nicely planted. The owners are friendly and helpful. Worth having breakfast here as there are not many cafes around. Benodet is a great place for a few days - we walked around the coast, enjoyed the beaches and recommend the boat trip to the Iles de Glenan.

"Friendly, well-placed budget accommodation"

8.0

Considering this hotel's classification, you couldn't really ask for any more. The rooms are basic, but again, what else would you expect for the price you are paying? Everything was clean, and the staff are extremely friendly. The parking is at the rear (costs €5 a day), but it's worth noting the turning is quite tight. It's situated a 10-minute walk (if that) from the main beach and right around the corner from the port area/smaller beach. And for those who care about that kind of thing, getting onto the Internet is easy.

"Fabulous family rooms"

10.0

Anyone with 3 young children will appreciate how difficult it can be to find a nice hotel which can accommodate a family of 5. We stayed for one night at Les Bains De Mer Hotel, as a stop gap before we could check into our holiday accommodation in Benodet for the week, and we were so pleasantly surprised that we wished we could have stayed longer. The family rooms (or quadruple rooms I think they are referred to) are really excellent and very cosy for the kids. It had a very large kingsize (or more!) double bed and a little 'room within a room' with a lovely, sturdy pine frame bunkbed for the children. The kids loved it, and the good sized bathroom, friendly staff and fabulous heated swimming pool and garden area were a real bonus. I would definitely recommend this hotel for families.

"A traditional French hotel with a friendly welcome"

8.0

This hotel was chosen because of its Logis de France affiliation, of which we set great store. The position was good, near the port, and it offers a swimming pool. There was parking at rear. Our room was sufficient, ensuite, and as it was a 2* hotel we had no high expectations. It boasts a restaurant which I believe figures in the Michelin guide for Benodet. However on this occasion we dined elsewhere. Another time.... Breakfast was a French breakfast, and if I had one whinge it would be that there was only one croissant per guest. They were lovely as well and I could have loved another! A great position and hotel for families on holiday I would suggest.

"A Very Good Budget Hotel."

10.0

We picked this hotel hoping that it would not be cheap and nasty and were really happy that it was so good. The staff from reception to the cleaners were all very cheerful and did their best best to make us comfortable and welcome. The room that we had on the second floor, served by a lift, was spotlessly clean, had a comfortable bed and a good shower, and although the decor was maybe a little dated, it had bright cheerful curtains and matching bed cover. We had the illuminated hotel sign just outside the window, but there was a blackout blind to keep the light out. Being at the front of the hotel we overlooked the road, but the double glazing was very efficient and there was very little traffic noise. There was a modern TV in the room with some of the premium channels available. The only downside were the two pillows supplied that were very small and thin, and we could have done with a couple more. There is a swimming pool for use of the guests set in a small garden, like most things in this hotel well cared for. The restaurant is very good and attracts non-residents as well as those staying in the hotel. Medium price range, but far better than many we have been to at a greater cost. All in all a good stay and if we were in Benodet again would make sure we stayed at Logis Les Bains De Mer.

"Good for what it was"

8.0

The staff were very nice to us and spoke pretty good English. The room is typical for Europe - small with no A/C. The bed was okay but the pillows were terrible. No blackout curtains so we were up with the birds. No iron either which was unfortunate but the staff did offer to take our clothes somewhere to get pressed. Price was fantastic.

"Exceptional"

10.0

The hotel is in a quiet street, but very close to the beach. The rooms are very basic, but clean and of a decent size. The managers and hotel staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming, and the restaurant offers very good food. The pool is a nice bonus. On the whole the Bains de Mer offers good value for money and we would stay there again.

"Very good deal and the nicest owners"

8.0

On a trip with friends, we randomly picked this hotel and were really happy about it. The owners were more than nice and always ready to help and advice you to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We didn't try the pool, nor the restaurant as we were mostly outside, but the room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The parking lot was full, but the city has free parking so it was always easy to park close to the hotel (even in August). This place is a real good deal, made even better by the friendly welcome and help of the owners. We highly recommend it.

"We love this hotel! Convenient location, pool, comfortable rooms and very helpful owners."

10.0

We stayed at the Bains de Mer 9 years ago and loved it. Although the ownership seems to have changed , it is still a really great family hotel. The Port side of Benodet is truly lovely and will always be a favorite. The hotel has wonderful family rooms. Ours had windows with views of the lighthouse, river and sailboats. This visit we were with only 1 of our children. The family rooms allow privacy and yet cost far less than 2 rooms. We had not received a reply to our booking request and waited until we arrived in Benodet to go to the tourism office which contacted the establishment for us. Many of the guests take full or half board as the establishment is a Logis and would presumably have a great kitchen. However, we preferred to take our meals at different cafe's , restaurants and creperies on the water to enjoy the view and good food. We had a beautiful breakfast in Saint Martine looking over at Benodet. The hotel offers parking, but both visits we have easily parked across the street. The nice thing about the hotel is the pool set in the garden. It is heated, and with the coool Bretagne weather makes a nice break from the chilly ocean. We love this hotel and can't wait to return.
