Les Bains de Mer

Stayed for 3 nights- duplex room with entry to the duplex from the third floor with stairway up to two single beds on an upstairs landing and door through into a double bedroom. Good location within short walking distance of the harbour. We chose the hotel over others as it had a swimming pool which the children enjoyed. Breakfast was good and the hotel was clean, with plenty of hot water. Room was disappointing - we were assured on booking that the room had a harbour view - it did, but only if you are standing up and leaning out of the small velux window! The paint work and furniture were grey so the room felt dingy and depressing. Be warned that the pillows are small and very soft, and you have one each - when we asked for another we were told the hotel was full and there were no more available. They offered to bring us any if some became available but this didn't happen during our stay. Hotel has a small car park for 5 euros a day - very tight entrance so you need to take care not to scrape your car going in and out! For the price - pretty reasonable value despite the depressing accommodation Highly recommend the Crêperie La Brocéliande - 2 Rue De l'Eglise -good crepes, and excellent fish dishes
