I would go back and book directly with the hotel. Do not sign up with UVC. Don't waste your time going to a session to hear about the hotel and UVC benefits. The hotel is beautiful and staff is great and you don't need to be a member of UVC to stay there.

I went with my spouse for time away. The physical part of the resort was well maintained. We were slightly disappointed in the food options. One night there was a long wait at multiple restaurants for dinner. The staff was friendly but the service tended to be very inconsistent with it being slow and at times it seemed as though we were preventing a couple of them from doing what they really wanted to do. The room was great and clean.

The rooms are outdated. They try to say the preferred side is better, but only offer is the drinks better. The drinks are watered down and the cleanliness is not up to standards. Although I didn't experience this, but a few guests stated their rooms had roaches, but water bugs but roaches. Everyone is looking for tips

Our stay at Orchid Secrets had both good and bad moments. On the positive side, many of the staff were friendly and welcoming, especially the groundskeepers, who were always polite and hardworking. The ocean itself was beautiful, and we really enjoyed spending time in the water. However, there were several issues that affected our overall experience. We booked ocean-view rooms but were placed in pool-view rooms with only a partial ocean view in the distance, which was disappointing. At the lunch buffet Pasta Station, one of the workers treated guests inconsistently due to skin color — some guests were allowed to order just seafood, while we were told, “This is a Pasta Station,” and forced to take pasta. She was noticeably less friendly and served smaller portions compared to others. Even more concerning, someone but we assume "housekeeping" since they had access to our stuff, placed metal rods inside one of our toiletry bags, which caused us to be stopped by airport security on our way home. These items were not there when we arrived in Jamaica, leaving us alarmed and unsettled. Overall, while we appreciated the beautiful setting and some genuinely kind staff, these incidents — especially the room mix-up, uneven treatment, and housekeeping issue — really took away from what could have been a wonderful vacation. Management should ensure guests receive what they book, are treated equally, and that staff professionalism and guest safety are taken seriously.

After staying at several Secrets Resorts in other countries and being extremely happy with the experience at each one, we felt confident to book Secrets Wild Orchid in Jamaica. We were greatly disappointed. This resort needs a complete overhaul in staff. We have never had an entire group of Secrets' employees be more unfriendly, unhelpful, and inefficient as we experienced at Wild Orchids. The setting of the resort is very pretty and the beach and water is beautiful. The facility itself could use some updating, usual wear and tear on a busy resort. But the staff needs to be completely retrained in the ways Secrets' guests anticipate the overall experience for this chain of resorts to be.

I booked Secrets Wild Orchid Preferred Club beach front. This allowed me access to all three hotels including the preferred lounge / area. This was my third time visiting Jamaica, but first time at this resort. The resort was very nice and some of the staff I would like to highly: (Emciko front desk, Chase and Rashmaine Butlers, and Tevon customer service manager, made our stay very special. Thank you. I would recommend this resort and would stay here again.

Nice hotel, food was not the best and very slow service. The beach was nice. Housekeeping would forget a lot of stuff and not provide enough towels or amenities for everyone in the room. Room service would take 1.5-3 hours a day if you did order. Restaurants had very long waits and the resort wasn’t very busy so may have been understaffed. Entertainment was lovely. Feel like for the price I expected better service and food but the location and staff were nice. Took multiple times of calling to get any service from housekeeping or food service.

Great first experience of all inclusive with just me and my wife. We stayed in the Preferred Club with Adia as our butler. She made our stay even better. While we only went out on one excursion since this was a 'getaway from work', Going to some local dinners or shopping in the future would be a good addition. We would highly recommend Secrets Wild Orchid and will definitely be back in the future.

I would shop around before booking if you are looking for a spectacular resort. I just don't feel like for the amount I paid that I got my money worth. Also, the ride to the excursions is very scary and the JamWest amusement park needs a facelift, it is very run down for the cost.

Was not what I expected from a Hyatt resort. Food was not great at the specialty restaurants, and generally the service was average throughout the hotel. They ran out of rum and/or whiskey at all the bars around the pool every day. Cleaning staff for the rooms were kind, but the rooms were not cleaned well. Everything just felt kind of cheap and slapped together. I wouldn't stay here again.
