Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay - Luxury - Adults Only - All Inclusive

We stayed in the Wild Orchid Preferred Club for 8 night while celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. The resort, pools and beach were gorgeous plus the entertainment was so fun! The staff was very friendly, responsive and accommodating. I wish I had made mental note of each staff member's name who made our stay amazing but special shout out to KerriAnn for treating us like old friends and making the best drinks 💗, Kenton for going the extra mile for us by setting up a special spot on the beach for our anniversary, Roger for helping us hold sea urchins & teaching us how to coexist with the moon jellies while snorkeling and finally the Matthew who helped us with our luggage and gave helpful reminders when we checked out. His positive attitude helped saying goodbye feel not quite so sad. 😊 PS, if you are considering Preferred Club, do it. All the perks are worth it and you don't want to miss out on Breathless!

First love Jamaica and beautiful water, weather. Check in and check out where nightmare. Arrived at 1:30pm was allowed to check in, just had to wait to get room at 3 pm. Front desk said just come back at 3 will have room ready. Checked back on room not ready, said come back in 15 minutes, come back still not ready, so we play this game until 4pm. I see 3 other guest that have came in after us and all get room. So I ask again every time they say something different. Finally I put foot down and ask for a exact time, Finally in room at 430pm with a dirty bedspread makeup on it. Ask to have clean bedspread, get it next day. Servers where nice, hostess friendly. Front desk and bartender where not happy and didn't smile. We had the miss fortune of having cruise ship guests purchase day passes to eat ,swim and drink at the bar for 150.00 piece so we got to wait to get served at swim up bar 30 minutes at time, ran out of beer took over hour to change 1 keg(pony keg) ran completely out of beer on Sunday at 230pm, how can that happen when resort is at 50% if lucky. Food even at made to order restaurants was over cooked fish and chicken. Breakfast buffet lits of empty dishes never getting refilled, not the quality you would expect from Secrets. I don't go out of the country to eat burgers, pizza and fried chicken I can get that at home. I would have expected great fish, shrimp taco, Resort needs up grade and more than one unhappy bartender. We always tip with each round and all meals. We never got showed property lay out We will return to Jamaica again next year but not Secrets.

Waitress Althea is absolutely amazing and provided great service at out pool and at the tiki bar! Highly recommend her for hospitality!

Overall preferred club is the way to go and service was outstanding. Absolutely loved our butlers Kenton and Betty who go above and beyond compared to other resorts. Not a typically all inclusive resort. Dinner dining was limited to restaurants as the buffet was converted to restaurants in the evening. The entertainment at the stage in piano bar could not be enjoyed as the space had a strong mold odor not good for health. Entertainment otherwise outside in the "Village" area was nice when can be experienced if weather cooperates.

Overall, the staff are extremely friendly, I would stay the best part of the stay was the high level of customer service. Other than that, it was a mediocre stay at best. Definitely didn’t feel 5 star. Especially for the price paid. Some areas of the hotel feel tired. It’s very much a “party vibe” hotel , think loud music and cheesy pool games and entertainment. There was only one pool in commission during our stay so by 9am it was crowded. Good luck finding a sun lounger, people reserved them from 7am then trotted off to breakfast. The “beach” was a small patch, so don’t expect to go for any morning strolls holding hands with your loved ones. The gift shop is criminal. $30 got a 10 pack of tampax! When it’s $5 in a normal store- behave! Also, coming and going from the resort was a chore at times. I appreciate security precautions but it felt excessive. Almost felt like we had to explain and justify where we were going. It was never as simple as this is my room number and name. It was exhausting and time consuming. Besides the games room, the gym and your hotel room, there wasn’t really any AC. Not in the lobby, lounge. Open doors for fresh air so was extremely stuffy. All the dark furniture felt bit drab and ageing. The gym was nice, good equipment, clean space. Breakfast buffet selection was as expected, something for everyone. Lunch buffet was always better. The speciality restaurants left much to be desired. Their menus were set menu but very limited choice. Leave the resort and eat local is my recommendation. Overall, I wouldn’t stay again. I’m sure there are other hotels in this price point with better amenities.

Althea -waitress cocktail server was amazing and was great with everyone at the pool and getting drinks! Dirty monkeys were not a problem to get and were fantastic!

We absolutely love it. Althea at the pool was amazing and service was great!!! She’s the best! Highly recommend. She was fun and fast with our request!!

We had a great time at secrets wild orchid. Our butlers Kenton and Rashmaine made our stay very relaxing. From stories on the beach to taking care of my wife when she didn’t feel well. Our beach waitress Keri-Ann was awesome. She always made sure we had a cold beverage. Her personality was infectious she was always smiling. The people at this resort make it great for sure
