Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay - Luxury - Adults Only - All Inclusive

The start was slow and painful. Waited over 90 minutes for a room to be available after checking in. Rooms are large and clean though pre-ordered room service breakfast was 50 mins late so I missed breakfast. Staff in the hotel are helpful and friendly though restaurant staff don’t seem to care nor be able to answer the most basic questions. The most frustrating aspect is the constant need to go through overly rigorous admin and checks to leave and reenter the hotel walls.

Our experience was amazing . The hotel was lovely. Scenery lovely but for us it was the staff who made it special. We were treated like family. The barracuda bar was the place to be thanks to. Duwaine and his staff. Especially Shereece,Althea,Jenelle, kerry ann and kadeen. And others. The restaurants were excellent, a very good selection and very helpful staff. De Andra and Junior. The rooms were cleaned daily by our lovely Anita. On reception we found Lisa and Rusheka very helpful indeed. Rushmaine and Duran were always on hand to help us with all our requirements. They were both exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Excellent location with incredible ocean views, facility is in tip top condition, top notch staff and service. Pool bar could use an extra bar tender and specialty restaurants need to be booked as soon as you check in to ensure getting both. Not a ton of entertainment but good evening music at the outside piano bar area.

we went to this hotel expecting so much, what a disappointment, it is very tired. we had a lot of problems, we had 4 rooms in two days , the biggest one being cockroaches, and smoking in places that are no smoking areas, then there is the construction next door but one end of the hotel is affected by this., I seen the pool being cleaned but not once did i see the pool area cleaned, the staff was rude some very ignorant, my wife goes to the bar as i walk with a walking stick and cannot carry 2 drinks she has gone to the bars in many country's even Jamacia, she felt intimidated staff who served her never listened to her several times only giving her one drink moving onto the next person, i would go to say they are SEXIST several times we moved to the bar near reception only to find it was closing at around 10.30 pm it should have been open until 11pm, mainly the food was of a good standard but getting it at evening dinner is the biggest problem, slow service in most to the point where people were walking out, the only restaurant we found bad was the Italian poor service but the food well if you want a Italian meal do not go here they don't even serve what you ask for, we came here for a relaxing 4 nights before we went home this was one of the worst experiences we have had for a along time, I would not say this hotel is value for money we have spent less on one in Jamacia on this holiday which is far better, for a top hotel like this should be for what you pay it is very poor, bars running out of things several times a hotel of this suposedly standard its poor

Our experience with this resort is below our expectations, the resorts in Mexico and the Dominican Republic were much better in our experiences! We will probably not visit this property again based on the experience with overall services at the pools and beach. If you want a drink you might be waiting for up to an hour even with tips to the girls. A lot of times I would go to the bars to get a drink and the beach and pool service staff would be standing around chatting amongst themselves. The restaurants all had decent food we found. Seems like Hyatt is dropping the ball on this property. I heard that they have went through 8 general managers in the past 3 years. I heard that originally Hyatt didn’t want the Wild Orchid property but AM resorts pushed them to take it during the acquisition. Once again this is a couple of rumors I heard from sources at the property. They are doing some renovations at Secrets St. James, time will tell if they continue to do this or dump the properties.

Excellent time. Every one was nice and helpful. The food, bar and entertainment was great. The room was perfect. The sea was beautiful.
