It was nice just gave me the wrong room and when changed bathroom flooded

In retrospect this is the highest level of service we have yet received since joining UVC in 2016. The food was OK. But the people were so friendly and kind it made any little errors dis appear. The best meals were at the Asian. The Italian was pretty good. The entertainment was really nice. Here are some people you will want to meet:

Pros: service was wonderful at restaurants, pool, room, and overall friendliness Portofino- our favorite restaurant, beautiful setting, great food- spaghetti and meatballs and tiramisu seems simple but it was delicious. Renting a cabana at the pool was well worth it. 110 US dollars. The bed is so large and comfortable, the curtains offer privacy and shade, and you can have service from Oceans delivered to your cabana, we felt very spoiled The property was very walkable and things were not spread all out. We enjoyed having local vendors come in and set up over the weekend. It was controlled and they were not obnoxious. Our room- 2539- had a beautiful ocean view, pool view, and sunset view. Bed was huge, bathroom was large, had no interest in using the soaking tub Cons: mainly related to breakfast buffet- wait time to go in restaurant, omelette station line was so long one day I did not even wait, sadly juices are not fresh squeezed Finding open chairs at the pool could be difficult, this is not high season so I can't imagine if it gets more crowded. No obvious recycling- so many plastic bottles are used. Value was ok because we went during hurricane season, but we will probably not go back

I am very disappointed with my recent stay. My booking was originally for St. James, but due to ongoing construction we were moved to Wild Orchid. First day I ask the front desk over the phone to check our room since it was warm also the internet on our room wasn’t strong enough to get signal, from there I’ve been telling them about our complains but no one is paying attention and they’re been telling us to fix it but no one help us out! And I told them about that it was my husband’s birthday on Tuesday which is 9/23 expecting that after our excursion will have a banner on front door but no one did it!!!! I work so hard to have a good and relaxing moment but unfortunately we’re not happy and disappointed. expecting a much better experience, especially since we were celebrating my husband’s birthday. Unfortunately, the service and the front desk did not meet my expectations, particularly compared to other resorts I have stayed at in the past—which should make a strong first impression. Considering the cost of this booking, which was one of the most expensive trips I’ve had, this turned out to be the most disappointing experience. Will not recommend and won’t come back here!!

Friendly service everywhere went on the resort. Rooms could have been more clean and updated. Food was such a disappointment. We were supposed to be at St. James only to find WHEN WE GOT THERE, that it was under renovation so they were placing guests at Wild Orchid. There are 3 resorts in one on this property. And each one is a different tier. Breathless is the top tiered resort, second is St. James and third is Wild Orchid. And I found out more about the resort, where to go, what to do, what to avoid, what to expect from speaking with other guests. The hotel just doesn't provide enough information. Very vague.

Overall it was a great trip. The beach, pool, and swim up bar was amazing. There were many fun activities to do during the day in these areas. The view from our room was nice an the entirety of the resort was very well maintained with great views from everywhere. The excursions were a lot of fun and provided a good experience for all. The specialty restaurants were delicious and had a good variety of food. Room service food was good with a lot of options. The staff were very friendly, and 'the Sheriff" was the best person there by far. However... Different staff pushing and pushing constantly to buy weed all day everyday was annoying. The Buffet had decent food, but you the breakfast was slightly below average. The rooms were clean in general but the bathroom/shower area needed a little more attention. Lastly when ordering room service, if you check the option to "leave it in the box" expect the staff to knock on your door until someone answers and then barge in you room to deliver the food. Followed up by standing awkwardly in the door way waiting for a tip. All in all I would go back no questions asked. Just make sure when asking for cabanas and for "The Sheriff" he always went above and beyond to make sure our group of 13 was well taken care of and had everything we needed.

It has been 10 years since last visited and it is run down. I was told they are starting to refurbish the units starting with St. James. Have a gluten allergy and not many options for all inclusive and I did not feel safe eating in the restaurants. Even got sick one night. I was hungry a lot. If you like loud music, drinking, party into the late hours as entertainment doesn’t start till 9pm, this is the place for you. I was looking forward to rest and relaxation but will have to look elsewhere next time.

Arrived. Every Travellers dream ! To arrive at their destinations safely !!!!! We stayed at Secrets Saint James last year , during the month of September . We loved it ! Decided to return this year . Secrets Wild Orchid this time . This review is not about the Room , nor is it about the sun . We all know that it's "ACTUALLY " the People what makes the world of Difference . The staff at Secrets were absolutely amazing! With their dedication, support, service,outstanding customer service. Extremely friendly people . Am not disappointed at all, because Jamaicans are always the best in everything they do ! We'd just love to say for anyone that wants Great food , Great Service , Great hospitality Great entertainment. Go to Jamaica ! You're not going to regret it !!!!! With all that being said we'd just like to say a Big thank you to all the HARD HARD HARDWORKING STAFF @SECRETS WILD ORCHID WITHOUT YOU ALL OUR HOLIDAY WOULD NOT HAVE EVER BEEN EXPERIENCE IN THE WAY IF HAS . Thank you to everyone ! The Gentleman that keeps the Grounds immaculate. The Entire Food , and Beverage Service team especially Miss Annmarie F&B manger The lovely Gentleman at the Bell Desk ( miss seeing those colourful socks ) Amazing work Gentlemen . I do not want to hurt the image of the resort completely. There was a lot of negative things that happened on this trip. I encountered some people who tried to make it better but at some point, things got too far out of hand. I made a decision to enjoy my time while I was there and to never return.

Overall, my stay was good, but I did encounter some rude staff at times. During checkout, they also attempted to add a false charge, claiming my balance wasn’t fully paid because they hadn’t charged enough earlier, which wasn’t true. I’d recommend carefully reviewing your bill before leaving.
