Khaolak Bhandari Resort & Spa

I’ll start with the positives, apart from the front desk all the staff were friendly & attentive. Now the negatives .We arrived at the Hotel at 9:15 AM & were told our room was not available until 2PM not good after 16 hours travel. We asked if we could get something to eat & was given a straight no even though breakfast was served until 10AM. We were taken to our room at 1:30PM & told the TV no longer works ! The rooms are really ready for a refurbishment all fixtures and fittings in a poor state, lights not working toilet cistern leaking they did attempt to fix the leak but failed. Also large gaps above & below the doors so all the local wildlife had easy access. We had a half board option so on the first evening we went for the evening meal, we were given menus & started browsing we were given vouchers for this. When I produced the vouchers the menus were snatched from us & replaced with a laminated A4 sheet with special items for half boarders . After that we only used the vouchers once more in the evening & just used them for snacks at lunch time. The pool area was in a very poor state with loose decking boards & protruding screws ,the sun loungers Were falling to pieces when you moved them. The pool area displayed no diving & no smoking signs but no one from the Hotel supervised or enforced this. At check out I was kept until the room was checked over presumably to see if I had stolen something . I would not stay again.

Just returned from our third stay at this beautiful hotel. Warm and welcoming staff that cannot do enough for you. This year we had a room with beautiful view of the lovely gardens so well maintained. Room was spacious, lovely big bathroom with wet room at one end. Room cleaned daily absolutely spotless. This hotel has so much charm and is authentically Thai unlike some of the larger, faceless hotels in the resort. I would highly recommend a stay here. Good location, close enough to the shops and restaurants without being on top of them and beach across the road where you see the most spectacular sunsets. Thank you to all for making this another wonderful holiday.

Bee, Foh,Miew, and Gail wete all so helpful during my stay. I wanted to relax and dive and any question or assistance they could provide they did. Thus last day I leave fir a dive trip and they are storing my luggage after helping me to look fir my sunglasses… which they laughed with me when I realized they were under my shirt. I was embarrasses but they were so kind. I love this spot and cannot wait to return. Kindness, grace and peace are found here.

Great place to stay, walking distance from many restaurants and shops, 30 second walk to the beach, amazing breakfast options.

Sehr schöne unterkunft, mit gutem Frühstück. Pool ist auch sehr schön, nur leider ab 8.30 Uhr sind alle liegen vollständig durch handtücher reserviert. Dagegen sollte das Hotel etwas unternehmen. Für mich war es nur möglich am Pool zu liegen, weil ich den Erwachsenen Pool nebenan benutzt habe.

Ok hotel, the pool area is great, with a bar where you can order food and drinks. The breakfast is a bit boring with only filter coffee. Rooms are big, but a bit dark. The hotel is not too far from the beach and there are plenty of touristy restaurants close by.

Bon emplacement proche de la plage et des restaurants. Chambre vieillotte mais spacieuse avec petite terrasse sur un joli jardin, problème de fuite dans la climatisation et d'évacuation dans les toilettes. Très bon petit déjeuner. Pas d'assistance de la réception pour le choix d'un prestataire pour aller aux îles Similan et pour la réservation d'un scooter.
