Keoken Patagonia Bed & Breakfast Puerto Natales

The owner very nice

We enjoyed a super stay at Keoken with a perfect breakfast and lovely hosts. It was also nice and central for shops, cafes etc, Recommend.

We had a guaranteed booking with credit card through a well-known online hotel booking service. The booking was confirmed just before our scheduled arrival. However, when we got to the Keoken in Puerto Natales, it was closed and locked, curtains drawn. No answer to repeated phone calls. We spent some time standing on the street with the kind taxi driver, trying to decide what to do. The driver didn't speak English, and my Spanish is poor. We knocked on neighbors' doors, spoke with workers on the street, etc. No information about why the hotel was closed. Finally a passerby rescued us with a recommendation of a nearby accommodation, which had a vacancy. We felt very lucky, as we had been literally stranded on the street with our luggage. When the Keoken owner read our critique of How Was Your Check-in Experience (We couldn't check in!), he sent an email saying he never got the reservation request. We don't know who made the mistake, but the fact is that we were left at the mercy of kind strangers to save us from spending the night at the bus station.

We stayed in this bed and breakfast because I had seen a review that said that they provided advice about driving round Torres del Paine park and Keoken did not disappoint. Rodrigo and his wife were very friendly and Rodrigo provided very helpful advice about driving round the park. This was really useful as there is not much information provided at the CONAF station in the park for those driving themselves and we didn't have time to do the full three day trek. We had some nice chats with Rodrigo and the room had everything we needed and was nice and clean. I would recommend anyone to stay at Keoken bed and breakfast. Some tips for those driving themselves- for Torres del Paine it is best to get a map beforehand as they do not give them out at the CONAF station and get petrol in Puerto Natales or Punta Arenas as there isn't any in the park. Streets in Puerto Natales have small signs with arrows either in both directions or one direction, which indicate if the street is one way or two way. Look out for these as they are easy to miss.

Great host, enjoyable visit, bed could be better

A very comfortable, warm stay in this lovely B&B. I really felt at home and was well looked after by Rodrigo and his family who went out of their way to ensure that your needs were attended to.

Very pleasant stay, Rodrigo is social and made sure we were looked after. Breakfast was great and included fresh cooked eggs to order. Rooms clean and comfortable, easy walking distance to great restaurants and the plaza.

Practical plc to stay

Beyond fantastic experience. Rodrigue (the host) was beyond helpful, letting us store our bags while we did a detour in Patagonia, stayed up late to check us in, as well as woke up early to make sure we have breakfast and taxi before our very early bus to Punta Arenas. The B&B itself is lovely and the rooms are fantastic. 10/10!

The owners actually greeted me at the door after a long day of travels! Within a few minutes, I was checked into my very comfortable room with a cup of chamomile. One note: google maps is wrong on their actual location. Everything else was perfect. They Arranged a cab for me the next day. Thank you both for a wonderful stay!
