The Hotel Continental has not been updated for many decades and lacks am elevator. I say this not as a criticism but a fact, as it's not particularly special in this part of the world. Located on the edge of the Kasbah and a mere 500m from the ferry port (uphill) it's quite convenient and charming in a very old world manner. Breakfast was rather lacking but the view was spectacular.

Liked that it faced ocean, and the back faced the medina. Lotsa steps, so you have to be physically able

The wifi connection could be better as well as the tv channels. Some channels were blurry and not much to choose from.

Continental is a hotel that must have seen better days. The hotel has a lot of character and amazing decoration but it requires serious renovation. We rented 3 rooms at this property. One of the rooms had smell. All the rooms were musty and some of the bathrooms didn't have any ventilation. It looked like the towels in the bathroom haven't been changed in a long time. If this hotel is renovated with modern amenities and with its amazing decor, it can easily be a 4-star hotel.

Great location. Walking distance to the tangierville port and the Médina. Good breakfast. Fantastic for short stays.

Continental is one of the oldest Hotels in Africa. In over 5 years, will celebrate 250 years of the service for travellers. This hotel is now a real Museum displaying the people, old equipment which were in the use in the past. In my opinion, the hotel needs some renovation and the locks and hinges have to be replaced.

Overall it was okay. First I was given a room with wrong number of beds but they quickly changed my room. However, the aircon has stopped working in the middle of the night and the room was freezing.

I arrived and was given a bunch of attitude for arriving 30 minutes before checking, the room I was given smelled like a damp locker room and everything was long past due for a remodel. I only stayed for 1 of the 4 nights I booked, asked for a taxi in the morning which they did not book and in the morning the person working behind the desk wouldn’t call for a taxi because it was already booked, finally had to leave and find one on my own.
