Lesante Classic - Preferred Hotels & Resorts

Really enjoyed our stay. However, This is a good 4 star hotel and not a 5 star. I say this because the gym was very small and I had a massage which was pretty mediocre. I would recommend people to stay but only if they are happy to be going 4 star. The title of 'luxury' I think is misleading.

The hotel isn't on the beach, you can walk to a couple of beach bars with chairs that serve food/drinks.

The grand suite was amazing. Only complaint was that the jacuzzi (one of the main reasons I booked such an expensive room) water was cold and the temperature adjustment would not work. On the first day, someone came to the room to try to fix it, but couldn't and recommended contacting the front desk in the morning. When I did that, I was referred to the manager, who told me that all jacuzzis in the hotel were set at a low temperature for "environmental concerns". Huh? Isn't the whole idea of a jacuzzi to circulate hot water? I didn't use it the entire stay.

When we arrived in the hotel, they welcomed us with a glass of champagne each. Then they showed us the facilities of the hotel and our room. As we arrived pretty late and had a long flight, we couldn't be bothered going out, so we ordered room service and the souvlaki we ordered was so delicious!! So first impression was really good. Then on the next day, at night time there were other guests who were trying to access our room. Our room was clearly marked with "Do not disturb" and our room was locked. But for some reason the hotel staff managed to help them to get into our room which obviously not those guests' room. And they apologised to us, after they realised that they got the wrong room. So from our perspective, our privacy wasn't respected as it should be, lucky we weren't doing anything at that time. I think the staff should double check which room those guests supposed to be in and guided them where to go instead of barging into someone else's room. Other than that everything else is positive.

The Lesante is a pleasant hotel, the rooms are adequate and the staff generally nice. We had an enjoyable short stay all in all, but wouldn't rush back. Iif you are used to staying in 'proper' 5* hotels, your expectations are unlikely to be met. This is more of a 3-4* hotel by more normal international standards, in my view. I say this for a few reasons: - The rooms are on the small side, the facilities are basic and a little tired. They do not provide daily bottles of water and the towels are tired and often looked grubby. - A large number of the clientele are on package holidays with TUI - be your own judge as to whether they're the sort with whom you might normally socialise. - There is a beach a short walk away, however it is packed with row upon row of sunbeds (most filled with the tattooed & overweight who are yet to discover suncream!) - The breakfasts were plentiful, but the quality poor - everything was grey and bland. Lunch portions were large, but most things came with chips (no doubt catering to the aforementioned clientele who leave Britain, but don't actually want to experience foreign culture/food). - The pool area has too many beds crammed in. - The staff are nice, but not used to providing 5* service - front desk is disorganised, bar staff did odd things like say drinks were out of stock in one bar, but wouldn't walk to the other to collect them when told they were there. Cocktail quality was poor. Breakfast waiters seemed annoyed you were creating work.

The hotel was really nice and modern in comparison with the other ones nearby. The staff were nice and welcoming right from the start. The rooms were really big and spacious. The bathrooms was a big plus as well. Would recommend others to stay here.

The rooms are tiny like Ibis hotel rooms, and you can hear your neighbors easily. I even heard mine snoring one night! The breakfast was not good either, so I only took it the first morning. The dinners cost something like 25euro (no thanks!). The concierge service, especially from Leonidas, was top notch. The spa and gym were pretty good too. Air conditioning functioned nice and strong.

Relaxing stay!! The staff were excellent and always happy to help. Didn't want to leave. If we go to zankynthos again that's hotel where we would stay.😎😊👍

Newer amenities and clean hotel. Nice pool and common areas. Comfortable bed, most others we had in Greece were very hard. Good breakfast, better variety than smaller hotels. Wifi did not work however, and 3G data didn't work while in the hotel. Staff was rather cold in demeanor. We had to check out a night early because of a ferry strike so we didn't get stuck on the island. I mentioned this to the staff at check-in and check-out and they had zero reaction. Didn't apologize for the inconvenience or offer to refund the night we couldn't stay. Seemed a bit odd, as if it's a common occurrence.
