Great value and customer service. Clean

The owners are quite nice, so I give their friendliness five stars the property is extremely outdated almost rundown. The furniture is dated. The bedspreads are stained. The rug is dated the room, smelled like smoke, and it’s a non-smoking room. They need to invest a couple of bucks in simple things like new pillows. I just close my eyes and went to sleep with a towel over my nose because it smelled so bad Put some money into your property. It doesn’t cost much.

Property is close to everything but is very dated. Heat comes on sparingly but hot showers were great.

Owner is extremely nice and accommodating. Overall a good experience if you need a room for the night and a decent breakfast in the morning.

Very unfriendly management. Bugs found in the room. Should have been given a refund. Not worth it.

wife rude to me about parking

I was concerned about the happy bear motel because of the 2 star rating, however i was very pleasantly surprised. Would absolutely stay here again. Very clean friendly office staff and very conveniently located. Just needs updating with decor. Best sleeep I've had in quiet sometime.

I liked the room a lot with the additional space for closet. It was a neat location next to Yoshi's. I hiked to Pico Peak but didn't reached Killington Peak in the rain. I have a neat photo of a stream and berries on the AT.

I booked a night here specifically because I was traveling with my kids and dogs. I searched “dog friendly” After we arrived and checked in, we were notified that dogs are not allowed there and we needed to leave. He argued with us and took the room key from the door and shut the door on us, saying that it’s “not his problem”. I asked for a refund and some formal notice and was provided with a printed price of paper to take a picture of stating that the dog policy changed as of Jan. 1,2023…. We would have been there Aug. 18…. I would think that is plenty of time to update all web resources. We went to the Days Inn in Rutland instead, where it cost an extra $50, but the kids got to use the pool and we got fresh waffles for breakfast.

Room smelled like smoke. Had to sleep with the window open.
