Candlewood Suites Mount Pleasant by IHG

Candlewood called me about 2 hours before I was to arrive and said they didn't have a room for me a room i had reserved on 6/17/21 and was supposed to be protected! Come to find out the city is hosting some kind of baseball tournament and every hotel in the city is booked up. So I'm thinking that since my room was at a discount price they gave it to someone else and made more money! Someone from the hotel emailed me and said they where doing some type of construction and rooms where limited, ok so why didn't someone call and let me know before 2 hours before i was scheduled to get there?!!! Since my room reservation "WAS PROTECTED "I had to stay at some flea bag hotel where drugs and other stuff was going on ! So yeah I'm giving them the lowest score possible, this is the computer age things like this shouldn't be happening

This hotel is under renovation so you have to keep that in mind, but our floor was completed and very nice. There is a kitchenette with full fridge and ice maker. The room was spacious and beds comfy. Our bathroom was not cleaned well and had men's facial hair in the sink and a used razor in the shower. Overall we had a nice stay and would recommend this hotel. Great location.

The website did not show anything about a deposit for the room, and it did not show anything about any deposits for pets and they charged my card with out my permission for both of those deposits. The room was not clean, the mirror had smudge marks all over it 😡 it was disgusting

Despite the hotel being under construction, I was in a newly remodeled room. The new look is amazing.

This hotel is going through renovation. It needs it. The front ladies were nice. They tried to help a small child from running into the street without a parent. The lobby was closed after 8:30 p.m. which made us feel we were in a really bad part of town. She said it was because the homeless tried to get in several times. Instead of taken the credit card for damages, she said that she would charge $150 extra in deposit. We rented 3 rooms for our family. Two rooms smelled really bad and I didn't go into the third.. The bathroom doors were dirty. The shower had black mold in it. Everything was minimal - 1 trash can, small tv, all lights not working in all rooms, cups with no plastic over them, black water came out of the iron, no tray to put my luggage on, shampoo/cond/soap from the containers that everyone used, tea and coffee were bad tasting. My daughter looked for bed bugs and saw nothing. Yay. It did have a blow dyer, iron, large refrigerator, stove. The sheets and towels looked clean but with all the other stuff, it made me wonder. My husband said the first floor ceiling should be lower as it cost less money that way. It was noisy upstairs. I took off the toilet lid because the chain would come off the handle every time I flushed it. The parking lot was full of building materials and Saturday night the building crew was having a beer tailgate party which was bizarre. The hotel property is way too close to Chili's next door. I should have read the reviews.

The property was clean, close and convenient. The room was quiet ans spacious.

Its one of the best rooms i have stayed the attendant was prompt helpful i will definitely be back
