"Good"

5.0

The tour guide lady that was in the gift shop was super helpful and had a lot of information to give. The South Carolina room was also very clean.

There is no inn keeper, so you’re entirely on your own. There is so much misinformation/incorrect information that it’s insane. You get like 5 different checking messages and emails with the same exact information and codes. When we got to the door we tried to get in and the code wasn’t working. We called the phone number and got no answer. After walking around the house for about 5 minutes (gift shop completely closed) I finally realized that in one of the text messages (not any of the booking.com messages or emails) there was a different code so we tried that one and it finally worked. The breakfast situation is absolutely awful. The free included breakfast is bagels and oatmeal sitting out for you to grab and go however the hot breakfast you have to pay separately for and give them over 48 hour notice if you want it. I did actually book the room and specifically chose on booking.com to include the price of breakfast in my room cost. When we got to breakfast a few minutes before because it says if you’re not there at the exact right time they will not service you we were told not to sit in those seats they’re saved for someone in a different room and we’re not served breakfast, meanwhile those people never showed up BECAUSE WE WERE THOSE PEOPLE. We also heard from people staying in a minimum of 3 other groups/rooms that the entire breakfast situation made them upset and angry and the fact there wasn’t an inkeeper was ridiculous like I said earlier the tour guide lady was very nice but just kept saying to everyone that she is so sorry but there’s not really anything she can do, there’s no inkeeper and she can’t answer to really anything happening. Why is she being forced by the owners of the house to wear all of these hats and take the brunt of everyone’s frustrations? This is ridiculous.

"Beautiful place and amazingly paranormal"

10.0

Both Welty and brickhouse were excellent places to stay. I went personally for the Paranormal venture of Gettysburg but was very pleased to know know that in the Illinois suite at Welty it was very active. The Kentucky suite at Welty. It was very active and in brickhouse the Ohio suite was also extremely active. Definitely will be staying again. Had an amazing time. The staff was kind and helpful. I highly recommend anybody debating on staying here to do so 100%

"Location, location, location"

10.0

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful property which is located just minutes away from everything Gettysburg. We stayed in the Kentucky Suite in the historic Welty House, and it did not disappoint. It was the perfect place for our seven night stay. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable and went out of their way to make our visit memorable. The grab-and-go breakfast was a plus. We highly recommend staying here on your next visit to this amazing town.

"Great stay for history enthusiasts"

10.0

My husband and I stayed in the CA Room, which is separate from the main house but still on the property. We really loved the privacy and easy access to parking. The room was clean, nicely arranged, and the coffee/tea station was well stocked with plenty of options. The location was ideal. Walkable to key historic buildings and less than a 10 minute walk from where Lincoln gave the Gettysburg Address. Perfect for history buffs. Paranormal bonus: we experienced unexplained bangs and the coffee maker turned itself on and off in the middle of the night. Definitely added some excitement. Whether you’re into history, the paranormal, or both, this is a great place. We’ll definitely stay again.

"A fun trip to Gettysburg"

10.0

This was our first trip to Gettysburg. We wanted to be within walking distance of most everything in town and Brickhouse was perfect. We spent 4 nights in the Alabama Room in Welty House. The room was great and the people were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

"Wonderful Stay"

10.0

My husband and I, along with our adult daughter, stayed in the New England Suite on Friday night. Everything was so clean and quiet. Such a beautiful place! Our stay was wonderful from beginning to end. Our ghost hunt at the Westy House basement was canceled due to illness. We saw Patricia in the gift shop, and she suggested we do a ghost hunt at the Jennie Wade Birthplace Museum with her. The ghost hunt was absolutely fantastic!! It exceeded our expectations! In the morning, we opted for the gourmet breakfast. Patricia is a fabulous cook, besides being an awesome ghost hunting guide, and fixed up the best vegan breakfast ever! None of us have had such a wonderful meal like that. I wish we had stayed more than one night. We will definitely be back!
