Clean room and en-suite bath, nice firm bed with comfy mattress topper, and best of all: friendly accommodating innkeepers. Our first choice in Gettysburg.

Location was great

Zero customer service. No management on site or available by phone. Couldn’t not access the building at check in and waited over an hour in the cold.

My mom and I did a few day trip to Gettysburg for her 75th birthday. We LOVED our stay at the Brickhouse. It really set the tone for a wonderful trip. The staff was really committed to making sure we enjoyed our stay. The place was also very well maintained and had beautiful touches that added to the ambiance. I would highly recommend this location if you are traveling to Gettysburg. You will not be disappointed.

We enjoyed staying in this part of history, the Welty House. The room was clean, free parking available, door code worked. Never saw any staff. Couldn't find coffee at the place, but across the street. Breakfast wasn't free, we didn't partake. Stayed 2 days. Slept okay. Great place to tromp around Gettysburg from. Bed was merely ok. Couch was of-the-period, and chair so-so. Location and tour were awesome. Not handicap friendly.

Great location. Right on Baltimore street, easy walking distance from many things. We stayed in the Welty house which predates the Civil War so an older building with old building charm. The house was heavily involved in the fighting itself which was part of the attraction for us.Note, breakfast was not included in our stay, which came as a bit of a surprise. It is included in some of their packages. Many places near by to eat, however. Plenty of parking behind the property.

We had an amazing experience at this historic bed and breakfast. The staff was so friendly and Hannah was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable in selecting books from the gift shop. She also have us great tips for our next trip (we will be back) The breakfast was also really well done -if offered do not pass on the shoe fly pie!!! I wish we had made the campaign toast because I imagine that is a lot of fun. We truly enjoyed the atmosphere and the people... cant wait to return and bring our friends

Very comfortable in the New England Suite. No paranormal activity while we were in the room. The staff is very welcome and informative if you ask questions.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Brickhouse Inn bed-and-breakfast while in Gettysburg for the college family weekend. The parking lot was directly behind the building and the check-in process was very streamlined and communicated via email. The location is very accessible to local sites. We walked to the Jenny Wade house and took a ghost tour on the battlefield, walked to dinner at O’Rourke’s and for coffee at phantom coffee roasters. We shopped at some of the local stores along the road and walked back-and-forth to the college and to city center multiple times. We stayed in the South Carolina room. It’s located on the third floor.The room itself was quaint and clean. It had an option for a bath or shower in the beat room. My husband loved the bed, but I found it to be firmer than comfortable for me. The bed was also a bit high up, but they did have a stepstool to make access easier. The room does face the main road, so there is some traffic that you may hear throughout the evening and early morning. The staff were great: anytime I emailed the staff they were very responsive to questions or needs; and when I saw staff on site, they were very friendly.

Great location close to the battlefields and within walking distance of downtown. Lots to do close by. The B&B had a cozy atmosphere. Staff was friendly. Would recommend.

This place is no longer a true bed and breakfast. We stayed here a few years ago & found it comfortable & charming. We didn’t feel that way this last time. First, the free breakfast advertised is continental—granola bars, bagels & coffee. If you want a usual B&B breakfast it’s an additional $18 per person, per day. When comparing costs, add this to the price you see. In addition, they don’t tell you this when booking on their website until AFTER you’ve paid for the non refundable room. Second, they also operate a gift shop & ghost tours from the building. So between 6 & 10 pm, there are people walking around the property, sitting on the porch & in the yard.-this is where they wait until the tour starts. Some don’t see the sign for the gift shop so they try to enter thehome. The front door is locked but it’s possible to enter the building through the gift shop. Be sure to lock your room door. Accept for these issues the room was clean and comfortable. The paid breakfast was very good. Melanie has been there for years and her cooking doesn’t disappoint. However she’s retiring soon, I don’t know what they’ll do then. The location is good too, within walking distance to restaurants & shops.
