Brickhouse Inn B&B

What a wonderful time we had in Gettysburg and at the Brickhouse Inn. The staff is amazing and attentive, especially Hannah who was so knowledgeable too. She led our food tour and we were all delighted with where we went and what we tasted. An asset to this inn for sure with an upbeat positive attitude ! We had breakfast one of the days and it was delicious. I would recommend this inn although a little updating in the bathrooms would be nice 😊

Brickhouse Inn Bed & Breakfast was a wonderful stay for our honeymoon weekend in Gettysburg. We stayed in the New England Suite & the bed was so so comfortable that it was the perfect end to our days spent walking around town, the battlefields, national cemetery and generally exploring the greater Gettysburg areas. The deep clawfoot tub was wonderful to soak in! The location was nearby to other shops and restaurants that we were able to easily walk there, but far enough away from Downtown Gettysburg that we chose to drive into town rather than walk 20 minutes. While we didn't attend the 5 pm Happy Hour that was offered to guests, we thought that was a nice highlight & before going to dinner enjoyed sitting in the courtyard the following evening. All staff we encountered were very friendly and welcoming, and the common areas of the house were cozy and enjoyable to sit and relax when we weren't back long enough to retire to our room. Brickhouse Inn Bed & Breakfast is a place we look forward to returning to for future visits to Gettysburg. As a quiet, quaint, and very clean establishment it felt like a having a "little piece of home" during the weekend, something you don't quite get with your standard hotel.

The Welty house Kentucky Room was a fantastic room and perfect stay! Very cozy fire place, awesome balcony. Would recommend 10/10.

The Brickhouse Inn is a super charming, historic place to stay in Gettysburg. It is in the heart of the town with easy access to shopping, a multitude of eating options, and all the great history the town has to offer. The staff at The Brickhouse Inn were very friendly. Check in and out was seamless, as they have a self check in/out system. We stayed in the Ohio Room, which was lovely. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was fantastic. The hotel was very quiet. There is lots of traffic during the day as it is in such a prime location, but that dies down at night (so no traffic noise while trying to sleep). They offer a full breakfast service for a reasonable fee. They also have a great grab-and-go breakfast for no additional cost. There is no mini-fridge or coffee in the rooms; but there is a guest fridge and coffee on the first floor in the dining area, which is open at all times. They offer many tour options (ghost tours, history tours, and a bar crawl); though we did not do any of these, they did look fun. We did a private tour with a licensed tour guide through the Gettysburg Foundation. Either way, I recommend a tour with a professional guide to get the most of your Gettysburg experience.

We spent 2 wonderful nights here. The staff was great. We particularly enjoyed the five o'clock "happy hour" outside on the patio with Sam and the other guests. The Inn is in walking distance to restaurants, ice cream shops, and historical sights. Our room was the "Tennessee", and was beautifully decorated with antiques. When in the Gettysburg area, we will definitely stay here again !

The Inn is not only a beautiful Home but their staff are extremely friendly! You have an opportunity to have their homemade delicious 3 course breakfast or a grab and go breakfast! They conveniently offer tours from their home and you can schedule on line or talk with one of the employees. The Innkeepers love the Inn and it is more than obvious! Even though the Inn is right on a main thoroughfare, you would not realize it inside the Inn. How they buffet the noise, I'm not sure but they do a great job. Being on this main thoroughfare tho is also convenient because you are walking distance from anything and everything. If you want to enjoy the history of Gettysburg, you can walk to many places or if you want to participate in any of the more ghostly haunts, they are also in walking distance, not only having their own resident spirit but also in their Welty House! There is a beautiful back yard with wrought iron table & chairs and a fire pit where you can sit and relax after a full day of touring! So if you want to stay in a place where you can enjoy the comforts of home, feel safe in the place where you stay, interact with the InnKeepers, tour guides, employees all who love this house & care for it as if it was their own and you are family visiting, this IS the place to stay!

Innkeeper Sam and staff made for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Staff was very knowledgeable of local history. Many attractions were within walking distance of The Brickhouse Inn which was clean, quiet and well kept. Highly recommend!

Everything was amazing. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We will be back in the future. Thanks again for everything.

There was nothing we did not enjoy.

Stayed at The Brick House in Gettysburg to be able to visit the civil war sites. Very good base in a perfect location in the town. The two buildings are historic, authentic and colourful. All the decor is period and feels straight out of the civil war era. Fantastic bedrooms with balcony overlooking the garden. Great to go for breakfast in the classic dining room. The staff are lovely and helpful and gave us a good tip about a local museum to visit.
