Econo Lodge Wytheville I-77 & I-81

The room was clean, but had a few minor flaws. The light switch by the door turned on and off all the lights, including the ones by the bed, which are usually on separate circuits so they can be turned on or off without getting out of bed. The toilet required two flushes to be successful. The handles on the bathtub water valves were extremely stiff and difficult to turn. There were no bars of soap in the room, although the desk clerk got some later in the evening. The breakfast room was out of milk, butter and cream cheese. There were fresh apples, but small ones. It was a reasonable place for overnight during a trip, and the staff was very friendly, but it's not the Ritz. I plan to be back for another overnight.

Peeling wallpaper, leaky plumbing. Wondering if the toilet will flush.

Cockroaches everywhere even in bed

Staff were very nice. Older but clean ands were comfortable. Best no hassle with our dogs.

Grossest roach motel I've ever encountered. After an exhausting day of travel, we just wanted to catch a few hours of sleep...should have gone with my gut after finding a roach in the bathroom. I awoke to another roach skittering across my neck. Mold in the bathtub was everywhere. Floor was sticky. Cigarette burns in sheets. The cherry on top is the roach that popped out of my bag when I unpacked after reaching our destination. Seriously disgusting place, stay somewhere else.

Pretty sure we had bed bugs in our room, and roaches were by the ice machine and one in the shower. Floor was sticky, we kept our shoes on, and the shower was so moldy we didn't use it. Arrived near midnight, exhausted after a full 14 hours drive time...should have listened to my instinct and kept driving. We were gone first thing in the morning.

Room was not very clean. Stuff on the walls. Hair in the shower. Gnats in the bathroom. Floor needed swept.

Breakfast was a plus. Noisy road traffic.

was good price for all we got. the quiet, clean, parking were great. breakfast was a treat compared to others.
